    11) disagree. The word constructive means that it would be positive towards the change. And this may better my performance as a firefighter. It’s not strongly disagree because it’s not always nice to hear you’ve done something wrong because you may have tried hard on it and slightly upset with yourself or something.

12)strongly disagree. I believe diversity is good. It is not to say women aren’t as strong as men. Also a women may offer some different qualities that could help the situation as they bring a different view point.

Disagree. I believe that you are representing the fire service and people can find strong language offensive.

Question 11: Strongly Disagree. I disagree because constructive criticism helps the individual realize his/her mistakes. This also helps the team to be more efficient and creates a stronger bond within the team.

Question 12: Strongly Disagree. Women play a critical role in any teaminf any industry. the skill sets and intellect of a womanares different from a man and is will have different method to solve any problem. Therefore, it is important to have a woman in the team.

Question 13: Neither agree nor disagree. Using strong language can be used in any context. If it is being used for a good cause or to create pressure for getting the job done then it is not a bad thing.

Q11: I disagree. I will take any help or advice I can get. I constantly want to learn and seek out different ways on how to do things.
Q12: I strongly disagree. Firefighting is a diverse profession and there are many very capable women that share the same passion and drive in their career.
Q13: Strongly Disagree. Firefighters are held to a high level of professionalism. You also don't want to risk upsetting any of your coworkers. Thank you for posting this and I look forward to hearing back from you!

Question 11 disagree. Constructive criticism is always a good thing, always learning new things and new ways of doing things 😊

  17. @MrGreen2700

    March 13, 2024 at 5:33 pm

Q11: Disagree. I say this because I recognize that I can not grow and ultimately become better without constructive criticism. And I do accept it and handle it in a professional manner and take the advice to heart. However, being completely honest, I (along with most people) also don't like being told I did something wrong. But even so, I understand that identifying and improving on weaknesses is more important than my ego.

Q12: Strongly disagree. No only is having female firefighters good for diversity, but it is also simply untrue that women can't do it. The physical requirements in my country are the same for females as they are for males. And we have female firefighters. this means that they are perfectly capable.

Q13: Strongly disagree. Firefighters are supposed to be role models and must maintain a professional image at all times.

My brother said years ago when taking these "stupid tests" to answer by putting yourself in the employer's shoes and what they want to hear. personally i think everything needs to be answered either strongly agree or strongly disagree. They are looking for someone who is confident in answering questions but also not taking too long to overthink a question. When I applied to work at K-Mart decades ago the assistant manager said I answered one question wrong on a 30 minute assessment test. I was called in the office the same hour I put in my application. I loved working there even though the store owner was not a nice man. I felt like he was monitoring the security cameras watching my every move. Every few hours he would call me into his office to critique my work while sucking on a big cigar. I put in my notice and left but sometimes wonder what would have happened if I stayed there because the assistant manager and I had a blast opening that store every morning. I hate they went out of business years later because everyone worked hard and deserved better.

  22. @kylebanks8873

    March 13, 2024 at 5:33 pm

Q11 I disagree as constructive criticism is another persons view on an activity they may have already done, and they may have found a more productive way to execute that activity that I may not of thought of

  23. @cesarespinosa3448

    March 13, 2024 at 5:33 pm

Question 11 answer- disagree. Rationale- If someone has taken the time to offer a critique about something that can be done more efficiently or with a better outcome it will only improve my skill set or at least I will have an opportunity to train or share why my way is better.

  24. @patathilgopakumar16

  27. @kateturner6071

    March 13, 2024 at 5:33 pm

Q11 disagree – I like to know how I can improve and make things better next time. Learning new/better/correct ways is key to growth and development and taking advice from somebody more skilled and knowledgeable than myself is always going to be beneficial.
Q12 disagree – I believe that men and women carry similar yet different attributes. There are sometimes physical / logical / emotional differences however non of these attributes should be considered greater or lesser from either gender.
Men and women and both powerful and this should be respected from either side.
Q13 neither agree or disagree. Everybody is capable of swearing whether in a lighthearted or offence manner. As long as the language is never used in a derogatory way towards a colleague of member of the public then it would be acceptable in the right environment

  28. @fishingwithandyloble

    March 13, 2024 at 5:33 pm

q13 disagree. This is dependant on where you are working or who you are working with. Public facing definitely not, but if having an opportunity to off load and reflect after a stressful day then yes swearing might be acceptable.

  29. @fishingwithandyloble

    March 13, 2024 at 5:33 pm

q12 strongly disagree. not sure this needs much of an explanation. If you have the ability to do the role through, training, learning, passion and more then it doesn't matter what sex you are.

  30. @fishingwithandyloble

    March 13, 2024 at 5:33 pm

q11 strongly disagree. I am open to constructive criticism as I could improve the way I work l, whether it be more efficiently or safely. Also I could learn from the suggestions and develop within my role.

RICHARD MCMUNN’S 5 ACTIONABLE TIPS FOR EFFECTIVE INTERVIEW PREPARATION
Job interview preparation is the key to building confidence, reducing nerves, and giving strong answers that convince the hiring manager you are the right person for the role. Here are my 5 actionable interview preparation tips to help you PASS your interview!

TIP 1 – RESEARCH THE COMPANY
Spend at least 30 minutes researching the organisation before your interview. Visit its website and learn about its products and services, values, latest news, and future plans.

Also, check the company’s social media pages for recent developments. This research will help you answer the common interview question, “Why do you want to work for us?” and demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for the role.

TIP 2 – PREPARE ANSWERS TO THE MOST COMMON INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
Don’t leave your answers to chance. Prepare responses to the questions you are most likely to face, including:

Tell me about yourself.
Why do you want this job?
What are your greatest strengths?
What is your biggest weakness?
Why should we hire you?
Where do you see yourself in five years?

Write down your answers and practise saying them aloud until they sound confident and natural. Never memorise your answers word-for-word because this can make you sound scripted.

TIP 3 – PREPARE 4 STRONG STAR EXAMPLES
Most employers ask behavioural interview questions such as, “Tell me about a time you worked under pressure.”

Before your interview, prepare four examples using the STAR method: Situation, Task, Action and Result.

Choose examples that demonstrate important workplace skills, including teamwork, problem-solving, communication, adaptability, and working under pressure. Having these examples prepared will make answering unexpected behavioural questions much easier.

TIP 4 – STUDY THE JOB DESCRIPTION
The job description is effectively a blueprint for your interview. Read it carefully and identify the essential skills, responsibilities, and requirements.

Next to each requirement, write down an example of when you have demonstrated that skill or completed a similar task. This will help you provide evidence that you already have the qualities needed to succeed in the position.

TIP 5 – CONDUCT A MOCK INTERVIEW https://youtu.be/T1vTofBM_uA?si=yDh4G7s5SIrno2QP
One of the best ways to prepare for an interview is to recreate the real experience before the big day.

Ask a friend, family member, or colleague to conduct a mock interview with you. Give them a list of likely questions and ask them to challenge you with follow-up questions.

Better still, record yourself answering questions. Review your body language, eye contact, tone of voice, pace, and clarity. Identify areas for improvement and repeat the process.

The more you practise under realistic interview conditions, the more confident and prepared you will feel.

FINAL TIP: Don’t wait until the night before your interview to start preparing. Follow these five steps several days in advance, and you will significantly improve your chances of delivering a confident, professional, and top-scoring interview performance.
