In this week’s educational travel series for kids, children learn about rich African culture for kids and traditional African weddings.
In this kids learning video, Oliver and Lucas travel to Liberia to attend a traditional Liberian wedding that will be held in a small Liberian village called Peace Town.
Liberia, a tropical country located in West Africa, is rich in culture and customs and so Oliver and Lucas go on a learning adventure.
They will learn about traditional African marriage ceremonies that have lots of singing, and dancing.
Oliver will get a chance to play a Shekere. A Shekere is an ancient traditional percussion instrument of West Africa that is made out of the gourd fruit. The instrument is used in traditional events with other African drums, especially when dancing rituals are involved as it represents joy and dancing.
