   I think all matte looks and solid fragrances in collectible packaging are going to be a thing this year. I think makeup has been everywhere it can.

   I am more in a lighter foundation camp(definitely still doing the most on the eyes) and i feel like things being more transfer proof is good it's also very nice when it wears off gracefully and it doesn't look like you are missing a chunk out of your face, like when it's super high coverage. I feel like medium coverage and bb creams should be working on making really nice setting formulas

   I feel like the problem with these predictions is Kat and Hailey's trends and ideas are way more reasonable, smart, and socially aware than what brands actually do LOL like brands and companies acted like the pandemic in the US was over but it only felt like that for a month when the vaccines came out.

   Ps: re the colored lashes thing. For certain looks applying black on top & color on the bottom lashes can add a cool pop but I just use liquid lipstick or gel liner w/ a tiny stubby lash fan brush vs. actual colored mascara.

    Hi guys. I got the Nars holiday eyeshadow palette. Stunning. Love it. It's thew first time ive tried Nars shadows. And thats not a good thing coz now I want more. Great video I really need to try n adopt your guy way. I need to appreciate the make up ive got coz I have so much but I just can't help myself, I just want all the new makeup and when I do get it I realize that I already have it and half the time I buy it and I don't even use it or use it once and forget about it.     It's still just incredible that we have a world wide pandemic. For me not so much makeup as I focused more on skincare while we've been wearing masks.

    Because of the long shipping times and long wait times for restocks, I think people were sort of forced to rediscover their current collections, and thus realize they don’t need that much new. So I think we’re going to see more project pans and low buys.

    I feel like Benefit was the only brand in the past 15-20 years that got coloured mascara right. I LIVED for the original Bad Gal Plum and Navy? Blue? Mascaras, they were perfect and were colours that added something to the look without being too in your face, but still noticeable that you were wearing a colour on your lashes. I was gutted when they discontinued those mascaras. They were just so beautiful.

    I don't agree about the colour trend thing at all since 2021 imo was VERY pink heavy, everyone released pink leaning palettes this year and I would say was the "colour" for this past year in makeup.

    I was actually expecting the same for long wearing makeup to be a thing also for masks. I’m in America and yeah it definitely frustrates me to see people not wearing masks or wearing them on their chin incorrectly, even though I don’t have Covid and am vaccinated I still wear a mask out cause that’s what we all need to do to help keep it from spreading but it seems like in USA the majority of people just “can’t be bothered”.
    I think I’m going to switch to only buying makeup if it’s a collab with something I’m die hard for or with a YouTube influencer I really like not something I kind of like right now that I won’t care about in a year. Cause yeah I have accumulated so much makeup I can dupe out so many things.

    I do wonder how the two year cycle for brands will be if we wont actually see some of the covid responses happening in ‘22. After all mask wear mandates are actually pretty wide spread in most of the USA

    Where I live in the US we were only mask free inside for a few months this summer. At work we've been masks this whole time. It just really depends. I would love more "mask proof" makeup.

    Pantone color of the year is periwinkle. I’m not mad at it. I wonder how many companies will be inspired by it. I remember makeup companies were in the past but I don’t see it anymore. A few Asian brands perhaps.

    Prices are gonna go up maybe double. Brands like maybelline and L’Oréal are gonna make their products more expensive. Especially now that it’s a commonly known fact that most companies (such as nyx and urban decay being owned by L’Oréal) is a common occurrence maybe we’ll see 20$ eyeliners from nyx

    I spent most of my life not wearing masks when I had a cold, and now it seems utterly primitive. I also live with cold winters, and cloth masks have made outdoor life more livable. I do up my eyes especially when I wear a hat and a black mask to keep from looking like a cat burglar.

    Edit to add: In the US former First Lady makeup collabs would the cherry on the top of the partisan craziness happening. It's easy to see Mac, Nars, or Mented doing Michelle Obama, but the real contest would be fo Melania Trump. Would it be Dior, Chanel, or Armani for the traditional Republican party or Cover Girl, Physician's Formula, Almay (though Melania isn't blonde enough for Almay) for the new Republican base. The only public political statement that Melania made is that she doesn't care, so maybe a poll can be taken to decide if her collab will represent $30,000 "campaign dinners" (hence the higher end stuff) or the next Q rally resurrecting the last true patriot, Ronald Reagon, to a 74° picnic Coney Island.

    Oh God, I am horrified at the return of the "shag/mullet" hair style, and can't wait for the trend to pass. I have yet to see it on anyone and think it actually looks good.

    edited to add: in Cro, there was a slogan to encourage more mask wearing (not that it worked, but still): my mask is protecting you, and your mask is protecting me. But, ofc, people just keeping banging on about how suffocated they feel under the (minimal) restrictions and don't give a flying f*** about others.

    Here in the UK, whilst we have been out of lockdown for a bit, there's always the ongoing threat of another, so while I have decluttered and bought new items, it's not been very much and I'm keeping my look fairly low key, so for countries like ours, I can't see a go big with make-up really taking off just yet, but who knows what 2022 will bring. As long as you two keeping uploading I'll be very happy.
