I have 10 years of experience in my field and decided to apply for a supervision position feeling confident with my expertise. I've gone to two interviews with different employers and got turned down by both due to my "lack of experience" as a supervisor. It was very disappointing as i do have those 10 years of experience under my belt performing this job. 😢

✅ TIP 1 – Research the company. Learn about its products, services, values and recent achievements. Be ready to explain why you want to work there.

✅ TIP 2 – Prepare your introduction. Practise a confident 60-second answer to the question, “Tell me about yourself.”

✅ TIP 3 – Study the job description. Identify the skills and qualities required for the role and prepare examples that prove you have them.

✅ TIP 4 – Prepare for common interview questions. These include “Why do you want this job?”, “What are your strengths?”, “What is your biggest weakness?” and “Why should we hire you?”
