   Here in Germany we also have to fight some floods. But we know that tis can happen since 5000 Years or so. Our Problem ist the "Bundeskanzler" (Head of the Federal Chancellery) who ist visiting the spot and because of this he is interupting the people who are filling sandbags to improove the dikes. Above this, they have pulled some Migrants to do a Photo show at the scene wich had interrupt the helping people also.

   While total EV vehicles can work in big cities, it is a disaster for any areas outside those cities. Hybrid vehicles can work, but NOT total EV.
   Case in point. A couple bought the new Ford pickup EV in Tulsa OK. Drove to OKC (100 miles plus or minus) and DIDN'T MAKE IT ALL THE WAY. Had to start their emergency generator. Now, that pickup is SUPPOSED to have more than 200 miles range. Spent the day in OKC, got fully charged, and started back. Guess what – they didn't make it all the way back and had to start the generator again. I've gotten a lot of flack from disbelievers over relating this story, but it's true. Then a guy in Tennessee said his job had a Ford EV, and it wasn't ever able to exceed 75 miles when loaded with any weight in the bed – in spite of the supposed "250 miles range".
   Couple this remarkably short range with the need to charge for several hours before returning home from the delivery site, and we are looking at horse and buggy times. DOESN'T WORK.
   IMO, any politician who ignores the people to impose "woke" agendas should be either voted out of office, or face an immediate recall election. Recall elections are utilized far too little nowadays.

    not only that, if you get salt water into those batteries, they burn forever, even when submerged. EV were tried 50 years ago, and we re-discovering all the problems again.

    Aussie here. We've just had a small cyclone, storms and flooding in Queensland. Power has been out for a week for a lot of people and the only thing getting around the blocked roads are petrol and diesel 4WD vehicles. They keep showing ads on TV for electric vehicles driving around the outback. Ridiculous! Despite our abundant sunshine, tye few EV charging stations available in the outback towns are powered by diesel generators running 24/7. Australia is a BIG country and once you get away from any civilised area EVs are pretty useless. This isn't going to change. They are never going to be electric charging stations in remote areas.

    What a waste of time and resources. Whenever a governing body tries to mandate a supposedly green initiative it just blows up in their left-wing faces. This blew up in California. And just look at the case study in Brookline, Mass where limousine liberals tried to ban fossil fuels in private residences with complete disregard about onerous impact on the lower income classes. What a bunch of jokers.

    All Ev is a monstrous mistake.
    Government needs to stay out of free markets.
    If people want a EV, go buy one.
    If you don't, then don't, but the government needs to stay out of it.
    They should not believe they should tell me what to buy or not buy, drive or not drive.
    Look how the fed messed up health care and caused the price of insurance to skyrocket.

    Seems to me they should find a way to put out a lithium ion battery fire or repress it in under 15 minutes before they mandate those vehicles be the only option. Even if everybody in the state already had solar and/or wind power on their property to charge up their vehicles, they still have that threat. If I were an insurance company I would not completely insure for fires caused by EVs.
    I believe voter initiatives being put on the ballots that take away the power from elected and appointed people to pass major things on their own is a good idea. Especially since many politicians speak with forked tongues while running for office. Get rid of computerized voting and limit mail-in again while at it. Voting fraud still goes on, despite what the socialists claim. Proof is court cases that have overturned elections just since 2019.
