   please do not rely on data given by the chinese scientists ,Thats a BS , Himalaya & Tibet are EurAsian Plate , its the EurAsian Plate is Splitting , & the Indian Plate is Beneath the Eurasian Plate ,few 100 meters below the himalaya, its the Indian Plate is Colliding and Pushing the Eurasian Plate , and most important thing is these things take millions of years .

   By the way even Africa is splitting vertically through the eastern regions, through Ethiopia, Kenya and a host of other countries. Already fissures have across the continent.

    In the beginning Volcanoes were formed to release pressure from the inner-core and to keep its size and Oil surrounds the inner-core to protect us from harmful materials and heat all would go out Volcanoes since we removed the Oil over 1000 Volcanoes don't work were does the Lava go?

    The movement of tectonic plates is not a overnight activity. I am surprised about the way it is being highlighted at this moment when China is claiming Tibet, parts of Uttarakhand, Arunachal, Sikkim and Bhutan. I hope it's not a game plan or geoscientific aggression by our neighbours into India

    This report is complete bunkum produced by some dumb Chinese pseudoscientists. Earlier there was a report that Somali plate is breaking off.
    But tectonic plates :
    – Don't move with speeds in the timescales of human beings. They take millions of Earth years to move by inches.
    – Movement of tectonic plates cannot be detected with certainty and the prediction of their movement is with even lesser certainty. If we could predict tectonic plate movement then we would have been certainly be able to predict earthquakes, which we haven't been able to, so far.

    ANYONE living near any Faultline ANYWHERE in the world, are risking being swallowed by the earth opening up, or burnt alive by a volcano.

    In the case of a separation in the crust a massive crevasse will open up, LIKE THOSE THAT ALREADY EXIST.
    And it usually happens in a very short time, NOT SLOWLY OVER MILLIONS OF YEARS !!!

    Some people think that the opinions of so-called Geologists from England 200 years ago, are the factual opinions, and spew them forth on a regular basis like this guy.
