Pakistan secured a massive $27.2 billion in foreign financing during FY2025-26, keeping its fragile economy afloat for another year. The total includes $16 billion in fresh loans, $2.2 billion from the IMF, and crucial debt rollovers, $5 billion from Saudi Arabia and $4 billion from China. Nearly 88% of this money went straight into budget support, debt repayments, and building foreign exchange reserves, with only $3.4 billion actually funding development projects.

China has issued a chilling warning over Japan’s nuclear potential, pointing to Tokyo’s huge stockpile of separated plutonium. Japan held about 44.4 tonnes of separated plutonium at the end of 2025, according to Japanese figures. Beijing says the stockpile gives Japan the technical ability for a rapid nuclear breakout. But Japan remains a non-nuclear-weapon state under the NPT and says its plutonium is for peaceful civilian use.

Two things.
Hamas must have thought the consequences of their brutal attack on innocent civilians on 7th October.
Secondly they shouldn’t have believed that with the help of neighboring countries who support terrorism that could bring about ceasefire in no time. This is Israel not India.
