   Hey guys, I thought I would just touch on a few common questions/comments:
   Firstly this seems to be a very polarising product with some people loving it and others hating it, but the one consensus we can all come to is that you need to scrape off the top layer to use it.
   Secondly, a few people are confused about what a baked highlighter is. Baked makeup is makeup that has been set in an oven instead of being pressed in a pan. You can tell if something is baked because it often is labelled as a baked product, it is generally domed in shape, and it is often firmer than a pressed product. A good example is a MAC Mineralised Skin Finish or Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Highlight 01 (which are both baked) vs a Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed or Jeffree Star Skin Frost (which are both pressed highlighters). They all work well, but are created differently, and often the baked ones give a less foiled and more glowy finish compared to pressed highlighters.
   Thirdly, a few people are under the impression that all baked products have this weird layer over the top that needs to be scraped off before using it. That isn't correct and to my knowledge the elf ones are the only baked products that are like this. Again, think of a good baked highlighter example as being a MAC Mineralised Skin Finish that requires no effort to make work. 
   Fourthly, a lot of people are saying that elf has come out to say that this layer is done on purpose to help it not to break in transport. I personally think this is a great excuse given by the brand to make it look intentional and so they don't need to fix their faulty product. 
   Lastly, we just used isopropyl alcohol to repress the highlighter.

   i have that exact highlighter and the dome broke off in economics once so i made the dome into a rainbow highlighter and the flat part of the original highlighter is so blinding.

    Spraying the brush with setting spray will help pick up the product and it really makes it pop, even without scraping the first layer

    Yes, there's a hard layer. As someone who owns multiple of these highlighters, they get softer and softer as you use them.

    I have tons of highlighters (different price ranges) and honestly this is my favorite one!!!! It is so beautiful on my olive skin. It’s perfect ❤️

    If you add some water to the highlighter (like we a brush and run it over the product) it actually makes a big difference because I had the same problem where I bought it and was grossly underwhelmed by it

    The elf higlighter is so good i use it everyday and its super pretty 😊 maybe it just works for some people…personally i dont like super gloey highlighters because u just look bad but the elf and even those vlinding ones can look pretty u just gotta know how much to use or use a denser brush idl find wat works for u

    I am a lover of a light highlight, rather subtle, so surprise surprise, i actually love this highlighter xD i own it but, i actually keep it loose xD

    I think their baked line is actually really good after the top layer is scraped off. I have the highlighter in crushed gems and the bronzer in st lucia. One of the best, only very fragile
