US carries out retaliatory strikes on Iranian-linked militia targets in Iraq and Syria | WION

The United States launched airstrikes in Iraq and Syria against more than 85 targets linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) and militias it backs, reportedly killing nearly 40 people, in retaliation for a deadly attack on U.S. troops.

Two vessels carrying 22 Indians hijacked off Yemen and Somalia coast.Tanker M.T. Sibu 1 with 16 Indians among 20 crew was hijacked by 6 pirates in Gulf of Aden, 30 miles off Yemen. All crew reported safe.

In a second incident, cargo ship M/V LUTUF carrying 6 Indians was hijacked off Somalia’s Puntland while transporting Turkish weapons. 8 pirates took the vessel towards Garmaal.
