Watching this wayyyyy later. Agreed with Hailey about rude customer service towards foreigners (I'm French, have lived in London for a while). I find more recent places with younger owners/staff tend to be more welcoming and understanding towards foreigners.

I love wine time! Make more! I started watching you both via Simon, we worked at DJs together so ofcourse wanted to support anything he was up to. You're both a lovely suprise. Life can be isolating and shit especially via social content, but, you're both great, and it's a lovely thing to watch and quite comforting in terms of just being real humans. I love the travel tips for Japan. But I want to know what Darren was going to say at 11:06 & 11:18. Lol No, just kidding! Haha But seriously. I would love to visit Japan to physically see the bronze statue of Hachikō at Shibuya Station. I'm sooo happy that it was shared on the vlog by the way! Oh and visit Ōkunoshima island to obviously to see the rabbits. I'm probably going to need a train pass no doubt. And I would squeeze in some of the places BN visited too! Thanks again for all the vlogs of good times and tourist sites in Japan. Loved them! A new title whenever Darren & Jamie are in the video would be…Beauty News with Beauty Dudes. Part 2 Ha!

My aunt spent most of her adult life in Hiroshima and ultimately died there (U.S. born and raised) during a diving accident a few years ago. She said the culture of Hiroshima is much different from the rest of Japan and many of the elders there do not like that they are part of Japan still. I don't remember the specifics as it has been a while since I heard the story, but apparently there is a rocky history about Hiroshima being forced to becoming part of Japan. They struggle to keep their traditions strong and keep out influences from other areas of Japan. Someone correct me if I am wrong or link to more specific information.

My husband and I have been a couple of times and we hire a wifi hotspot so we can use Google translate!! Not as good as having someone who speaks Japanese there but handy for menus and asking simple questions.
