Atmospheres been shocking this season and Its what happens when the tourist foreigners get tickets over us locals. We wait years for seats just for tourist to come and take photos and not make a noise. Its actual bs. And Its happening to most big clubs atm, not just us.

I put it down as there out pricing the working class and filling the stadiums with the middle class who can afford that ticket most weeks and the tourists that doesn't mind spending a few quid on there jollies.

Interesting. Razor Ruddock was at Anfield and thought the Liverpool fans were brilliant. I don't know who's right but watching on the TV I was left with a similar feeling to Neville and Carragher.

Liverpool have beaten Man Utd quite comfortably over the past couple seasons, even at Old Trafford.

I think Liverpool (or maybe just the fan base) should question their own team performance rather than blame the opposing team.

It’s like a well known ‘joke’ Man Utd park the bus; in any game, regardless who they’re facing. It shouldn’t come at anyone’s surprise that again could be a possibility this time around.

Realistically, any spouse fan irate about the score should look at why Liverpool were too one dimensional and couldn’t break them down.

   Just my 2 pence

For as much as Liverpool hype themselves for how passionate their fans are and the mighty Kop and the entire "this means more" slogan and everything i don't think they can be excused out of this by saying they were expecting a one sided game or anything like that. If your stadium cheers only for the big occasions and underdog games then how is Anfield different to any other stadium in the world?

I think most people who have watched football for a long time knew this was never going to be a walkover for liverpool! Liverpool haven't been in good form recently even when winning games and united weren't going to come to Anfield and get turned over like that again!

League, club owners, media have strangled the fans, and now everyone is content with the lack of atmosphere?

And now “How did this happen?”

    Hypocrisy.

That’s what believing your own hype and disregarding the opposition gets you. Utd went there to defend of course and the way Liverpool fans rant about that makes me wonder do they think Utd were going to to Anfield and play in a way they haven’t all season and allow Liverpool to batter them.

One decision was Nunez not playing to the whistle. Can't remember who, LFC player down in the box, Nunez just had to tap the ball into the back of the net.
But, no I'll not do that I will see if this a penalty 🙄 play to the whistle your taught this as an under 10 year old

I'm a 15-year-old Liverpool fan in London. Even 180 miles away, I am a massive LFC fan – I'm definitely not a glory hunter and if I was at games, it would seriously be utter feral delirium for the whole 90 minutes. International fans would value going to Liverpool games way more than any lucky local, who gets straight in just because if their location. I know scouse fans don't get how big the fanbase is but, even 180 miles away, the extent of LFCs cultural influence is truly massive and I have met 100s of fans who say the ticket scheme is genuinely impossible to get onto – you need booking history, but how do you get booking history if you need to have been before to get booking history? It's a closed shop where, unless you are local, the only way to get on the ticket scheme is to buy hospitality for 13 league games in the same season, starting at £350pp. The majority of my pocket money for the last 4 years has gone towards my collection of 20 Liverpool scarves (50 badges on one of them) but, JUST as I'm not local or old enough to have got in early, there is NO way I can get on the ticket scheme. I would travel over 360 miles to games at Anfield, but I can't even do that because of the sheer weight of fans. There are a reported 580 million Liverpool fans on Earth and 58,000 seats in the home end at Anfield. Demand to supply is 10,000 to 1. PLEASE raise this to the club – it's awful that young or global fans can't attend league games.

Despite being a Liverpool fan, I have noticed that the crowd is heavily influenced with what's happening on the pitch. When the team is rolling, so is the noise and the songs. But when it's not going well, it gets quiet.

Compare that to Selhurst park, like @droidgeist said. They could be five down at half way but you'll still hear that crowd singing. One of the reasons I love watching Palace play at home.

Love how no one is giving credit to Man Utd for forcing Liverpool to play the way they did, and hush the fans. Neville and Carragher saying Liverpool were poor is an absolute farce. Their patterns didn't work because Man Utd didn't give any openings apart from Arnold's chance. Oh well

I remember being part of a smaller crowd v Auxerre in 1991 who made twice the noise than the shambles of a crowd we get these days. Well done fsg for totally ruining the atmosphere

As a Leeds fan I almost don’t want to get promoted this season. Never thought I’d not want to be in the prem, but week in week out in the championship there’s a great atmosphere and the game hasn’t been corrupted by VAR and ridiculous handball rules. Not surprising to see the atmospheres in the premiership suffer, what did people think would happen when you can no longer celebrate a goal for fear of it being overturned. Killing the game.

Jurgen Klopp gets his substitutions right, 99 times out or 100! Is that right Gary? Have you down extensive research on this Gary? Just lazy punditry! I expect more from people who are paid to give their opinion! I can get opinions like Gary’s down the pub!
