   If Canada does not draw the line between freedom of expression and incitement to violence/terrorism, India will draw it for Canada. Americans need to decide if it is in their national interest to destabilize India thru this long dead movement, encourage this minuscule minority to threaten larger Indian diaspora, and upset the long term relationship with India.

    The US lost a brilliant opportunity to stand with India and address the trust deficit it has with the Indian people. This whole debacle serves as a test for the US intentions with relation to India, and I would give it a C+ grade. Lost opportunity to score a B+, A or even an A+.

    The US was on it's way to closing the trust deficit, when it shared intelligence about Chinese intentions in Tawang at the LAC. It's sad to see a 2 step forward, one step back approach between two nations which have great values, only if they can respect each other and be a little less self-centered.

    if the US truly thinks that india is such an important long tern strategic partner in the geopolitical great game against China, it would not have helped pakistan with weapons upgrades plus engage in an arms-to-Ukraine as quid pro quo for IMF bailout deal with them too.
