You know if you're mates with Keano he'll kill a person for you! If he likes you he will defend you like nothing else.

   Schmeichel
   G.Nev-Rio-Stam-Irwin
   Keane-Scholes
   Ronaldo-Cantona-Giggs
   Rooney

Cantona will always be #1 on my United all time PL-era team. The most important player United has signed during the PL.

Even though this is a year old you left out Scholes. The one touch master. I understand your other choices but I think you made a massive mistake not including Scholes. I think some of your choices were "have to pick" crack of a lad and your not looking at the true Man Utd team. I think your comentary and vision is great but felt apart on these choices

Imagine the players of today referring to it as the "trenches". Same sport, same rivalry, but not the same commitment. A lot of these so-called professionals spending so much time on Instagram and just showing up for a pay cheque.

As good as 1999 was, you can't overlook 07/08/09 squads with back-to-back CL finals and 3 PL titles, even with Tevez joining man shitty.

    . Van Der Sar
    Irwin Stam Vidic Evra
    Beckham Carrick Keane Ronaldo
    . Rooney Tevez

Bench: Cantona, Van Persie, Giggs, Scholes, Ferdinand, Neville Schmeichel

    Sorry Ruud.

Only 3 differences for me. Nistelrooy for Rooney. Scholes for Ince and Rio for either of his centre halves

I'm an Arsenal fan who eperienced football tension like never before or since, when we were going up against Keane's MU.
But I always begrudgingly respected this force of nature in the middle of the pitch, not just because he's a fellow Irish man.
As with many other non-MU fans, I always look out & enjoy for his interviews, in his own dry way, he's flipping comical!
Was great to see him and his arch nemesis (Vieira) do that 'Best of Enemies' show, which away from the frontline, they'd so much admiration for each other.
When van Nistrelrooy faked to get Vieira set off, with our captian going berserk to get at him, who stepped to which 5-6 players coundn't hold him back, to immediately cool down Vieira, Keane. U could see how much Vieira respected him.
I hope he continues to mellow out and can become the manager of Ireland, to inspire & lead us back to a World Cup final, which I can't help but think it's his destiny to do so.

As a LFC supporter I would see this list:

    Nistelrooy – Berbatov – C.Ronaldo

    Giggs – Scholes – Keane – Beckham

    Evra – Ferdinand – Staam – G.Neville

    Schmeichel

    Sub:
    Rooney, Veron, Tevez, Barthez, Vidic

This is why Ferguson was the best manager ever, and Keane isn't. If you want to win you build your team around Cantona.

Mr Keane i was a little disappointed by your choice.. just a little. I never expected you to "bend" to the hype and "force" Cristiano into an all great top11 ManUtd team.
    Let me explain..
First, a small objection about P. Scholes not making the team. He is easily at the same level with Ince and Robson but contributed more IMHO.
Now, as for the "Cristiano Objection": The format is wrong and it's purposely wrong so the 2 best right wingers and flags of Man Utd don't cancel each other. Cristiano and Beckham played BOTH as right wingers for the team. It doesn't matter that Cristiano scored more or had "more freedom", he is NOT A PURE STRIKER/FORWARD. So..what do we do here Mr Keane?! I tell what we DON'T DO! WE DON'T exclude the best striker of ManUtd EVER in Ruud Van Nisterloy. 3 options therefore..
    1) Out Becks, in R7 and attacking duo Ruud & Rooney
    2) Becks stays, R7 out and attacking duo Ruud & Rooney
    3) Everyone stays if we want to "dress" Cristiano as an attacker and we pair him with Ruud, leaving out Rooney

Paul Ince is what Pogba should have been for UTD.

I remember he was one of the sports analysts on BT sport on an Inter Milan Champions league game within the last few years and the Inter fans were absolutely singing his praises whilst he was speaking live, celebrating him returning back to San Siro.

I went to watch his highlights and look at his stats/ achievements for club and country.

My guy knew how to put in a shift.

Boy. Looking at those GK numbers, I know DdG gets a lot of schtick but for gods sake he deserves some credit for how many clean sheets he had given the period in which he played and some of the dog water back lines he played with.
