   MEET UP INFO
   This Friday 20 July we will be around Darling Harbour to meet our fab BN Sydney fam! The rough plans are to meet near the water close to IMAX at 5:30pm and then head over to Blackbird Cafe at around 6:00pm for a coffee or a drink. So if you turn up at around 5:30 look for us outside, but if you come after 6:00pm we will likely have moved to a cafe close by. Since we aren't too familiar with the cafes near Darling Harbour we had to make a random choice, if this venue isn't suitable for the number of people who turn up, we will need to re-assess. We will keep everyone updated on our Instagram @beautynewsofficial and also in our Not Beauty News Facebook group – https://www.facebook.com/groups/NOTBEAUTYNEWS/ we will also be checking our DMs on Instagram if you need to contact us.    I'm usually a silent observer, and I've definitely kept my mouth shut on shade ranges.. But I'm going to go crazy and throw my thoughts out there. I am one of those pale people that can't find foundation. Sometimes I swatch lightest shades in concealer or foundation simply to laugh at how absurd they look against my super white skin. I do wish I could find my shade, but I never mention it because of the retribution that will almost inevitably follow. I've seen such innocuous comments be twisted by others into a message of hate. Wanting our shade does not mean we are trying to invalidate your struggle. Personally, I'm happy to wait my turn. I'm loving seeing shade ranges come out that are inclusive for POC. I hope they keep bringing out deep shades, but I do want to be next. I want us paper white people to get our correct shades as well. Like I said, I'm happy to wait for now, but I definitely am waiting for the day I find my correct shade.

    I agree with companies needing to grow in both directions for formula .
    but my biggest issue is having to order them online 😖 where I can't shade match

    That Block Party palette! 😍😍 that shimmery aqua green color is amazing. Finally, it feels like the last several months it’s been one boring palette after the other. This palette, Norvina, and what I thought was gonna be the Ace beauty collab with the Greek inspiration, have been the only palettes I’ve been excited about in a while.

    Regarding the NYX shade range. I think it's pretty ridiculous that there are complaints regarding fairer shades. There are literally hundreds of foundations that cater to fairer skin with a range of undertones. But within the darker skin toned community there are very very few that are deep with a range of undertones.

    The pale princess complaint is ridiculous. Let there just be a range that has a better range of deep skin tones FOR ONCE!

    THANK YOU for talking about brands not bringing out enough very very fair shades. I am SO pale (but not PINK like every single brand thinks I should be; moreee… A slightly yellowy tinge of literal white…) And I can't even begin to tell you how frustrating it is seeing all these brands bring out a million and one tan and deep shades (which is great, don't get me wrong) but STILL nothing for me and my practically translucent brothers and sisters. Oh and I'm kinda sick of the only highlighters being pale enough for me being icy silver/icy baby pink. Please may I have a very pale goldeny shade? Apologies, but I feel like I can't even complain about it yet I'm sitting here looking like a tangerine wearing the colours inappropriately named "Snow", "Porcelain" or "0" or whatever. Pssshhhhhh. Rant over.

    I then remembered Kat and I have the same birthday 🤦🏻‍♀️

    I've tried many, many foundations, always with the lightest shade, Ivory, Porcelain… they're all too dark for me
