   i've been binge-watching old beauty news episodes and it's so funny seeing how make up is such a subjective thing and everyone has such different opinions – you hate Dose of Colours whereas Stephanie Nicole swears by them & it's her favourite formula; the opposite is also true with liquid lips she hates (ABH and Colourpop, i think) and i saw Kat say she loves both of those.
   You dislike the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette, but JenLuvsReviews calls it one of her top 5 ones.
   It's interesting and refreshing to see that people are being honest and not praising the same things across the board!

   Its just so strange that the MR pallette was so good and they got the subculture so wrong, wow, and they should have had insight imh they are or should be knowledgeable if they are making makeup especially at those prices

   I'm not buying the subculture palette simply because I dont want to have to work that hard to put eye shadow on, just dont have time or patience for that, but good for those who like it, but I dont want to risk paying shipping both ways if I dont like it, especially at that price, just my opinion.

   Jaime Genevieve had a bad experience the first time around when she did her first impressions, but then she sat down with the palette and made it work for her after trial and error. You guys should check her out, she created a very beautiful winged out eye look with Subculture!

    I feel like the matte shadows would work for me, I pounce dark shadow into my crease and outer v, with a Mac 217. I'll never try it, I'm in South Africa, it's just interesting.

    How come companies get away with selling a product that's so crappy and it must cost the consumer? Compare that to Amazon who pay for return shipping and refund everything, or give you your money back and tell you to keep the item.

    I understand that you can make the ABH palette work, but when you're paying a luxury price for a luxury product, YOU SHOULD HAVE TO WORK AROUND IT TO JUST TURN OUT A GOOD LOOK. This isn't an attack on you gals. But Jesus, my shitty morphe palette seems to be better than that shit show 😂

    I love your reviews and your attitudes. You're just really honest and brutal. However, I do think you were a little harsh with the revelist makeup person for not knowing what holo was. You also said that the Milk holographic highlighter was holographic, when it's not. Saying someone should be fired for the same mistake you make is harsh…

    I think the confidence in a cleanser sounds familiar because they released a confidence in a cream moisturizer. I think it's just an addition to make that whole thing a new skincare line.

    Was It cosmetics bought out by Estée Lauder or something? Usually brands will release a bunch of stuff over a short amount of time to make more money for the parent company. At least I think anyway.

    I totally get a palette having a learning curve but not when it is meant for the average consumer. Who is going to pay $42 for something that isn't easy to use? If the subculture palette requires a professional, problem solving touch then it is not for the everyday Sephora shopper, thus making it useless.

    I feel like the subculture palette didn't work out so well because it was rushed. Remember how it was sneaked before they sneaked it? I feel like Norvina was under the pressure to get it out before it was supposed to because of the leak. Now here are the repercussions. But in saying that, Stephanie Nicole's review was really insightful, she was sent it but she also shows proof of purchase as she bought it herself because she really liked hers. It could be hit or miss, I'm going to wait for ABH to do a restock and get the second batch.

    I am enjoying the subculture palette actually. Seem to have the hang of it now, I hate the two duo chromes though (shade and electric) I can get no pigment from these (especially cube) and soon as I touch them they have that hard layer. I do like the rest of the palette though and will keep and continue using it ☺. I think your info on all this was brilliant though as always ❤

    P.S. I returned the Subculture palette even though I loved the shades because it did not apply well. If an eyeshadow palette annoys me, it isn't worth my $42. I don't know if I suck at applying shadow or not, but either way it wasn't worth my time to find out. There are other palettes that don't require that much work. 🙂

    Hope you heal quickly, Hailey! Side story relating to surgery: I once went to a burger restaurant with big exposed stitches in my neck because I was SO HUNGRY after getting out of the hospital and I wanted real food. I looked like a monster but I enjoyed my burger. 😀
