Hey guys, if you did want to have your makeup press more firmly (to have less kick up when you are using the product) you might want to play around with adding the binding fluid in layers (e.g. add the product in a third at a time and spray it in-between the the layers as well as on the top), so the binding agent is throughout the whole pan of product. We didn't do this because we were following the exact instructions to see if the kit works on face value. If you do add in more binding agent it will likely make the product a lot more wet and won't be useable straight after pressing. xo BN

Anyone else realize that the solution is only isopropyl alcohol and cyclomethicone? I want to just make my own solution at a much cheaper cost… Anyone have an idea on what ratio would work!?

Wish we could've seen a tap test or other trial of endurance of the final result. IMO the finished product after the grinding stage seemed really coarse and not nearly as fine as it would need to be to hold up to pressing (though I work almost exclusively with matte products which are more fragile that way). My Fixy is due to arrive tomorrow so if I get good results, I'm hoping to engineer something more affordable for myself. I think it comes down to: not adding too much iso, using even pressure, and most importantly, use something that is the exact diameter of the pan. It's moving the weight from one spot to another to even it out where everything tends to fall apart on me.

Lol. When you were pressing the product for the 10s, my husband randomly started singing "Under pressure, pushing down on me". Died.
I kind of want to buy one of these just to make some Frankenstein's monster make up. I have a rose gold highlighter I'm curious about how it would mix with my foundation powder.

If you use a slightly more generous spray and let it set overnight my suspension due to repairing my own make up without this kit, it may not have as much fallout or kick up if you will
