   Do you really want to see games like Manchester United vs Burnley? No disrespect meant to Burnley, but as a football fan I very much prefer to watch Manchester United against Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona, PSG, AC Milan, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City, … every… single… week of the season. It does not make sense to me to have a league competition where there is just so much distance in budget and power between the top and the bottom as it happens in domestic leagues.
   Be honest, wouldn't you prefer it too?
   So, oh, but that's not fair to Burnley? Burnley can do a great job and keep winning and if they do, they can earn the right to play in the first division of the European [Super] league.
   I do not care if they call it European Super League or if UEFA and the leagues restructure their competitions to something that makes sense.

    People supporting UEFA support a greedy organization that leaves crums to the teams that give magic to the game, UEFA takes the biggest part of the cake and leaves the teams with the crums, i hope and wish for UEFA's downfall because all they have done is take money from the clubs they keep more earnings than what the clubs deserve

    I'm a Millwall fan couldn't care less about a super league, the hypocrisy from a guy who part owns Salford City who are 'imposters' in the football league. This whole diatribe is what all league 2 and conference fans are upset about.

    Tears in my eyes watching this back! Thank you Gary for coming out straight away and showing passion — Roy and Micah are sound but they just can't muster the same outrage because they thought it was a done deal — Gary had the belief that if people fought it they could stop it and people DID fight it and DID stop it.     No matter what happens a super league will never happen the fans wouldn’t allow it and before anyone says it’s not the fans choice and the owners could do whatever they want yes they can but without fans there would be no income buying tickets, merchandise etc. Gary Neville was legendary on this

    Im a new football fan, but Gary Neville has been right all along about football being about the community. I dont follow Premer league (I follow national league/ Championship) but seeing people like Gary being passionate about the sport he loves makes me think I made the right choice in following football.. if they are all as passionate as Gary is I will enjoy it

    I'm not a huge football follower, but I remember hearing this and its probably the most empowering and passionate counter argument/speech I've ever heard. No one else spoke out the same way Gary did. He saved football. Hero.
