What the question would this city side stay….if they get relgated due to there 115 charges 😆. Hey Everton fans what would you fell if this currupt club gets away with it.
Which they will. Because the prem won't want that money to leave the league
Man corruption
@liamfarr3707
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
When comparing current teams and teams from the past is always difficult. I think an important question, which is never mentioned, is what era referees are being used. Some tackles now which are given as fouls would not be then. That could make a big difference.
@yourguy382
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
City would absolutely annihilate that team. Liverpool too. And so would probably most of the top 10 these days as football has moved on so much.
@tomazvibe4042
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
Bernardo – Rodri – Scholes – Giggs
The rest is good
@gm2407
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
What was great about the 99 trebble was that they got the results as a unit. Individually nearly every one on the pitch had played better for United in earlier or later seasons. But this was the season it all came together. Exceptions being Dwight as this was his best season at the club, Blomqvist as he was injured the next three seasons.
@donram7265
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
United 99 had such little competition. Those United teams wouldnt have won as much in this current era.
@muzlp
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
I think Jamie forgot how good was the Italian clubs in the 90s, Man Utd had to beat Juve & Inter with the likes of Ronaldo, Zidane, Baggio, Conte, Inzaghi, Simeone & Deschamps as opponents.
@garyjaguar8066
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
You can't compare the teams . They both done the treble so well done on historical achievement.
But not picking scholes is outrageous

Roy Keane in 99 and 00 was on another level both in defense and attack.
@huffy2722
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
City fan who has watched the game for 40 years, my completely unbiased team would be:
Schmiechal
(Very hard to pick him against Ederson but he was incredible)
Walker – Stam – Dias – Irwin
(Absolutely no arguments)
Bernnado – Keane – Scholes – Giggs
((Only Argument is whether Beckham gets ahead of Bernando? and also how Gundogan doesn't get in but Scholes was the best English midfielder of his generation and just pips Ilkay)
De Bruyne – Haaland
(No Debate)
Thats 6 United players and 5 City players from a City fan, Not being biased, Just an honest opinion.
@tonyl55
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
City out pointed utd in a much harder league where bottom can beat top much harder treble for city to schieve

Going to be revising your selection now Mr Neville? 😉
@truecockney438

Gary why bother arguing with him about Scholes we all know he’s jealous of him because all eleven titles he won and he’s man crush gerrard didn’t win one so he’s jealousy is there for everyone to see
@travisokilen6460
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
I'm not a Utd or City fan but the fact he thinks his United squad would beat this current City team is beyond laughable. Utd won the PL that season by 1 point, City could've won by 10 and the league is arguably more competitive now. United won most of their UCL games/legs by one goal, and only played one top 5 team. City have dominated the #2 and #3 team in the world (Bayern, Real) by 3+ goals, and maybe the #4 team (Inter) depending on the UCL final outcome. City won 6 more games and have an 18 goal higher differential. Utd was 2-5 on aggregate in their 4 games against the 2nd and 3rd place PL teams. City were 14-7 on aggregate against Arsenal and United. Not only would the 99 Man United squad not "find a way somehow" to beat City, they would get absolutely thrashed. That United team was good but the treble was a lot of luck. This City team is one of the greatest squads of players in the history of football.
@marjon83utd
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
These city players would be average in 99, the are playing against utter dross week in week out
@driplerthadripper
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
Man city would smash that united team

Leave it to the scouce to choose grealish over giggs
@vewayy
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
i’m not accepting grealish over giggs, i don’t understand why he’s saying gundogan over scholes and what on earth is de bruyne doing as a deep striker over yorke?
@alastairnunez9127

About the Man U midfield comments and as an Arsenal fan I am inclined to agree with Gary

The Man United 99 is so overrated. Nostalgic af. I can name you 10 teams who played better and were great to watch in the modern football.
@nooblover23
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am

@mattdevereux5940
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
football was strong 20 years ago, facts, i loved this arsenal team in 2023, but its not a patch on the 2003 team even which couldnt beat united to the league.
@truecockney438
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
Jamie is so jealous where Paul Scholes is concerned probably because he never won the league like he’s f secret crush gerrard
@benhicks9481
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
Utd was a 4-4-2, I guess City are a 4-3-3 (although it does change). Now Garys right, City haven't won the treble yet but if they do I'd pick a 4-3-3 of Schmeichel, Walker, Stam, Stones, Irwin, Keane, Scholes, KDB, Beckham, Haaland, Giggs. However if City do win the treble I'd say they are the overall team – better league points total in a tougher league, same EFL cup runs although City beat tougher opposition on the way, similar FA Cups in terms of opposition strength but City could in there's without conceding, similar UCL runs in terms of opposition strength but City could achieve theres after taking apart both Bayern and Real (probably the next two favourites in the competition)
@miscfutbol4606
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
Man City would destroy United. Don’t get nostalgic
@jadthetruth8704
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
gundogan and grealish over scholes and giggs is outrageous
@internetenjoyer1044
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
it's interesting. becks, giggls, scholes and keane is the absolute perfect midfield of a balanced attacking 442 with two wingers, a formation you cant really play anymore at the highest levels. So they might very well be the best midfield players you can put together but theyd be destroyed by this city team if you did put them together
@AllahCanMakeYourDreamsComeTrue
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
Forget Grealish for Giggs is Outrageous all Grealish is good for mainly is Most Fouls Won 😆😆😆😄😄 while Giggs was a Goalscorer as I watch MUTV shows Giggs all goals also Giggs lasted for So Long
@langtonmudzva6202
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
If City win the treble this season between theirs & the 99 Man Utd treble which one of the trebles would be more historic? Considering City's journey to what they're now?
@alexmcknight5000
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
Grealish???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
@casperselka671
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
Gary Neville is too humble he is so underrated now but he was class. Also scholes is imo controversially the best midfielder in English football history. Class.
@widowmaker69
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
Makes you laugh, they say the Utd 99 team couldn't beat this City side…… Brighton drew with them the other day 🤣😅 they're not unbeatable
@evanclp514
February 18, 2024 at 2:37 am
i'm actually surprised how polite this segment was. but both of them were pretty reasonable. and to be fair, i agree with Gary that you can't take anyone out of that United midfield. like forget just for United, those are 4 of the greatest Premier League players of all-time. i also think Gary is right to point out that Pep has made a habit of losing to inferior teams as opposed to the United treble team which had multiple great comebacks including the Champions League Final so i would pick them to win in a tough game where they probably don't have as much possession.
@hassankhan6955

Respect gary man, he was a brilliant RB. Consitant every single game. No matter what 7 out of 10 always
