   I agree with the comments saying that it's a good thing Tarte recycled packaging. However, I don't believe BN are complaining about it. Just pointing it out and saving those of us who are curious the trouble of doing this ourselves.

   I also don't believe this was a conscious decision by Tarte to recycle for the sake of the environment. I think it was a conscious decision to save time and money to push out a product quickly.
   I believe if they knew they'd be praised for recycling old packaging, they would have stated that they did in the first place. After all the previous backlash they've received I can only imagine they'd take any opportunity to get some positive feedback.
   And, I am a Tarte fan, so there is no hate in my comments. It's just my genuine opinion.

   … Just use a hair dryer to heat up the adhesive. Stuff comes right off.

   I think that the problem is not that they reused packaging, but actually that it is very cheaply made and lazy

   This is one of my besties fave palettes. The sticker hasn’t ever lifted on her and she didn’t have the shades elsewhere. She loves the huge highlight also. To each their own. Would look terrible on me.

    If this happened to another brand with the sticker over the packaged label…. used a blow-dry in heat temperature will heat up the sticker and easily peel it off!

    I know this is an old video but I'd like to point out that if Tarte was interested in managing and reducing their waste output, they would just have fewer releases over time. They didn't have to put out an Icy Betch palette, so it's great they reused components but yeah….. it's blue eye shadow, they weren't changing lives or even bringing something new to the market when they released this palette. I would argue that this still constitutes waste!

    Why didn't you use alcohol to remove the sticker? Alcohol doesn't damage the plastic or the paint…

    Instead of an eyeshadow pallet, tarte could've made better use of the layout and make it a cheeks/combo thing. Just like the one the packaging was originally

    oml, this was an april fools prank by tarte and they even said so on their insta along with a discount for everyone for april 1st. Its good that they are recycling but also nice to see the company has a sense of humor

    I'm really not bothered by Tarte renaming/repacking the foundation. Brands rename formulas and change packaging all the time. I mean the new Revlon sheer lipsticks are the same formula as the old revlon lip butters and everyone I've seen is SO hyped about that and glad they got the same formula. I don't think it was intentionally scammy, or that they had vats of product lying about for years and needed to shift it, I mean the foundation they had didn't sell well (I heard NOONE talk about it) so if they wanna make the packaging more user friendly and market it better then more too em.

    We complain about over packaging and the waste it creates but then complain when companies reuse old packaging… As long as there isn't anything shady about about the product then who cares?!

    Take a hair dryer to the sticker to warm it up first and then Peel it off and then whatever is left can be easily taken off if you put baby oil or coconut oil it first and it'll leave whatever it was stuck to intact 👍🏼❤️

    I don’t love tarte’s eyeshadows. They can be patchy and can have a lot of fallout. I do like their other products though

    I think that its great that companies re-uses packaging, HOWEVER I think that they need to be transparent about it! Its better for the environment, it just seems dodgy when they dont’t let us know! WE WANT TO KNOW (it’s a win-win in my opinion, JUST LET US KNOW). Thanks again BeautyNews, I always watch u guys, and I’m already excited for the next video.

    Theres nothing bad reusing some palettes👌🏻 we should thank tarte because its not like other makeup brands that using to much plastics for a new palette

    I don’t understand the people saying they should have priced it cheaper because they re-used the packaging. Tarte still had to pay for that packaging to be created, whether it was for this palette or the other one. Of course they are still going to charge for the cost of materials.
