Back 40 years ago, I had a sister in law that was an engineer at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas. She died with cancer but she was still working for them when she got sick. She has been gone for about 30 years

Boeing went woke, in it's hiring.
Rather than knowledge and skills, they hired for "Diversity" and "Inclusiveness".
Depended too much on software, to catch issues, created by incompetent "Wokies".
A.I. is no match, for natural stupidity.
I've seen the futility, of trying to "Idiot Proof" a process, just to have idiots find the holes in the plans, smart people could never conceive of!
This is Boeings problem. They hired woke idiots, and now face problems they created…..and have no idea, how to fix them! Worse, the idiots, no doubt, are on teams to fix these issues, and are undoubtedly, making matters worse.

THIS IS NOT A BAD BOEING COMPANY OR A BOEING BAD DESIGN! What you have is one person who made a simple forgetful mistake. It would be far different if the door plug fell out because it was not able to withstand air loads and the design was faulty. That is NOT TRUE! Each one of these cases cited by media (Door plug, Chicago wing tip incursion, B-757 wheel falls off, Atlas engine fire) "ALL" have to do with a person who failed, forgot, or missed something. The FAA is supposed to have the steps (procedures) in place to document each of these failures so that it is not possible for one individual to bear the entire weight of the failure. Boeing is not "A mess" This is uneducated, unqualified FAA asleep at the wheel and it is them that is not doing their job! Yes….the tech back at Renton should have remembered to put the four bolts back in. But he didn't. This is a human being failure. No more, no less. On an unrelated note: I don't ever speed on one section of highway because cops are always out there with radar guns on and they will give you a ticket and are happy to do it. I pay very close attention on that stretch of highway.
