   I was interested in the lime crime colors but ultimately, it came down to having 1) does this work in afro textured hair 2) do they offer samples (don't mind paying a little to try it out). I was not sure on the first and that is because they don't offer samples. So, I went with oVertones they have several samples and they have models with afro textured hair.

   The fact that BMC "folded" and didn't pursue the case aka settled it out of court and knowing the manny and jsc collab went forward its CRYSTAL clear it was never really about this logo. They merely took advantage of the comments by people abt the similarities and a smart ass legal rep would have used all this to build up this case and make it look like JSC and manny are in the wrong and basically grounds for them to bring up a case which will put them in tight situation so jsc had to hand it over. it just shows ppl are only really in it for the money…. sad situation but i sincerely hope ppl realise what shifty things there doing. doesnt matter if the brand isn't someone you like because i know jsc and manny aren't exactly loved by many but I don't think what BMC did is right.

    I am part of the group on facebook and thankfully I missed that shitstorm because of work. It really baffles me on how there are adults older than me (myself being 19) that fight like children because they NEED to make sure their opinion is voiced. I've learned that if I want to say what's on my mind, I choose my words carefully, taking into consideration who I am talking to, while also preparing myself for the inevitable onslaught of other opinions that are to come. If I know that there is going to be a fight or it is a more sensitive topic, I tend to stay out of it. I'm sorry that you two had to deal with such childish behavior <3

    Australia really only became aware of blackface on a larger social scale due to the Hey Hey It's Saturday Jackson 5 skit where Harry Connick Jr was the guest judge. Yes we've become more aware of it since then but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a big well known thing in NZ. Is Shannon aware of it? Probably. I don't live in NZ so can't say one way or the other. But I do know that until the Jackson 5 skit a lot of Australians had no idea about it either. Just because NZ has dark skinned native people doesn't necessarily mean blackface is a thing there. Either way Shannon's video clearly had absolutely nothing to do with dark skinned people so anybody getting offended over it perhaps needs to sit down and realise they misinterpreted the image.
