   In the last 12 months they’ve gotten to a cup final and qualified for the champions league but we’re talking about feeling sorry for them because they’re currently in 10th place in the PL.

   How about instead we feel sorry for Jon Dahl Tomasson at Blackburn whose plans have been ripped to shreds by Indian government restrictions on Blackburn’s owners meaning they can’t invest into the Club and have subsequently removed any chance of promotion.

   Alternatively, how about we feel sorry for Ruben Selles at Reading whose owner refuses to put any money in and pay the players or staff, causing the club to be in breach of EFL regulations that will likely cause the club to be relegated.

   Alternatively again, why don’t we feel sorry for Ged Brennan at Morecambe whose owner has given them the smallest budget in the whole of League 2, still failed to pay the players on time (causing the club to breach EFL regulations) and has just had every single loan player they signed in the summer recalled by their parent clubs.

   Eddie Howe and Newcastle fans are in absolute dreamland compared to most other clubs, let’s not pretend otherwise.

   Great discussion lads. Newcastle has had some really weird injuries. It's so frustrating for everyone. The supporters just have to lower their expectations and be more realistic and patient.

   Spurs have more injuries than anyone else. United have a load, City have been without their best player De Bruyne and also Haaland for the last month. Liverpool been with Robertson, Thiago, Matip, and now a few to Afcon and Asian games… whats this narrative that Newcastle have been hard done by? The reality is, they over achieved last season, in a league where so many teams were below their normal standards. End of.

   It’s the worse amount of long term injuries at a club in one season I’ve ever seen. It’s ruined their whole season undoubtedly.

   By far the worst injuries this season , full 12 first team starters out , if fans can’t see that’s the worst,, well haven’t got a clue about football to be fair

    Don't feel any sympathy for Eddie Howe after what he let his snide players do at Sunderland last week after the final whistle. Babyface Howe has gotten away with murder for years with his teams.

    The reason there are no elite English managers demonstrated clearly. The media double standards and spin they receive. Same for mediocre English players.

    Southgate, Howe, Potter, Rashford, Maguire. No elite club wants them, and would sack the four I listed that have jobs. Our press run defence for them.

    It’s why England haven’t won since 1966 also.

    Apologising for mid talent is the opposite of an elite mindset or standard.

    Eddie howe is a great manager but unfortunate? Really? They robbed 3 points off of arsenal, and they got an insane financial takeover. They should be doing better.

    Why do Newcastle United get such sympathetic treatment from the media when a similar injury crisis at Man Utd gets ignored and every dropped point by them is followed by days of "United in crisis" frenzied reporting.

    No sympathy given for their injury crisis, problem players or awful owners
