TFS – re the rose thing, I think I'd rather it in a pan (if I was gonna buy it, which I'm not) than the rose, cause I'd feel I was picking up dust in the rose… lol.. just my 2c worth.

those who questions the quality after pressing can't have pressed any makeup themselves, I have never noticed anything different after repressing something I accidentally broke.
After I learned how to repress products I started to press every loose product I owned/get since I hate the cloud that always puffs out when you open the lid, and I feel it is easier to work with pressed makeup. Never had much problem with cracking when they dry even if I never used anything more than alcohol, but some dry products can be more sensitive if you drop them. If it gets to that slime consistency I just press lightly with paper and then change the paper a couple of times when it can't soak up more and use more pressure gradually, until it feels properly pressed, have not had so many of those but they turned out really good.
