The elf actually great for a final under eye nighttime skincare step.I have also slathered the backs of my hands in them when they were really dry.

I like The elf putty primer especially the one is your pores And the matted One , I think 🤔 the Natasha one that I bought which is for the one on my eyes it was waste of my money It didn’t do anything for me , I think it’s over glorified but it’s not bad I prefer elf , Why pay more if I don’t have too, And that’s just my opinion for my face , everybody’s skin is different so I can only speak for how it works on my skin and my body chemistry , for my face it works wonderfully! 😘👩🏾‍🦲🥰

I'm going to be honest… I lost some respect for ya'll. It's 100% unrealistic to expect a $8 primer to be EXACTLY like a $52 primer (I mean, if that were to happen… I'd think the $52 product was WILDLY lacking… though, my opinion is they are anyways) but for you two to sit there and shit on it … none stop… without giving it an honest, fair review speaks volumes about you as individuals. Sitting there calling it fungus. Wow. So mature for a couple of 30+ year olds. You should be proud.

And honestly, if the worst you two can say is; "It feels greasy!!!" then, apparently Elf did something right. And, clearly that's as far as ya'll "expert knowledge" can go. Not to mention Elf calling this a "review"… that's likely the biggest fucking joke of the whole thing. This wasn't a review. Reviews are fair comparisons and neither one of ya'll come into this with a fair, open mind. Money wins for you two. Every time. Just like ya'll hopping on and off Jeffree Stars nut sack, depending on the "popular" consensus.

Probably why yalls opinion on makeup should be taken the same way you take cyanide….

Hate to be Debbie Downer but the older you get the “slight” differences ARE worth the money. It’s hard to explain but a concealer a tad too dry can ruin everything – I get why people pay if something works – because one good concealer is better than a drawer full of meh concealers (who me?)

You ladies are fucking funny. So Emily Noel said that a better match to the Tatcha Silk Canvas Primer is the Hard Candy Smoothing Primer Balm, has a more similar feel than the putty. I've spent the past week (not all day every day) searching for a tinted filling primer (going from one beauty website to the other) and think I've found an $8 USD alternative to Tatcha. It should arrive in a few days, I'll share feedback then.

Ihad tatcha full size and i gave it away it made my skin so oily, on another side elf gives me such a healthy looking skin, my foundation lasts all day long. Most of the days i just apply the elf primer and walk out my skin looks amazing

I've tried both the ELF and the Tatcha. They are the same and the Tatcha is not worth the price difference. You do need to let the ELF primer set for longer than the 30 seconds recommended, but in less than a minute, it is completely dried down. The ELF is great under every foundation I've used. It fills my pores and smooths my skin. Foundation lays nicely and lasts for at least 6 hours. I will say the Tatcha primer smells divine. Its a beautiful fragrance, an elegantly soft citrus scent. Every time I use the Tatcha I smile for the fragrance alone. If you are inclined to spend extra for the brand name and packaging, you will be happy, but at $8, the ELF pore less putty primer performs almost exactly the same.

I really appreciate the elf putty primer but I saw titanium dioxide in the ingredient list and I personally don’t want to use a primer product has titanium dioxide in it. I totally understand most of the make up has this ingredient but as a chemical engineer student I would like to avoid as much as I can because this type of ingredient may cause skin irritations in long run and again this is my own opinion.

Camellia sinensis is commonly known as… tea. That stuff in bags you put in hot water. The botanical name sounds so much more impressive though. 😋

Tss. She didnt even try scrapping the whole thing for tatcha. Bias 🙂 wasted my time. Bs guru. Clearly you dont even know how researchers spent time on making one product. And it wasnt made for you self proclaimed guru to downgrade a product that somebody researched on. Get a better life 🥱

I haven't tried the Tacha, but I really like the Elf one-I was late to the game, so by the time I got it, there was plenty at the drugstore. I find I get higher coverage with it, so I need to use less foundation

    February 23, 2024 at 12:09 pm

honestly, i have super sensitive skin and i break out really easily. after trying the tatcha, my face immediately broke out. i’m not sure what it was, but it happened. i’ve been using the elf one for a few months now, and it has never given me any problems. it’s one of the few primers that hasn’t given me and texture differences in my skin. you really just have to let it chill after you put it on, and you can’t use a bunch. i think it’s worth the price and it really works for my skin personally. (for reference, i have combo, acne prone skin. i have cystic acne and i am using benzamycin)

I love this elf primer. My new fave. Haven't watched the video yet tho…

    February 23, 2024 at 12:09 pm

I swear by Tatcha personally. I wear their silk canvas primer on my no makeup days as well as under my foundation because I want that barrier between the atmosphere and my skin, and because on me, it has a smoothing & blurring effect. I dont understand people complaining about the price because they offer a smaller sized primer for $20 on Sephora. That's the one I buy every few months or so. I did purchase the ELF one, but it doesn't provide the blurring effect Tatcha does on bare skin; however, it works pretty well under foundation. So on my no makeup days I use Tatcha, and on my full beat days I can use the ELF. I also have Winky Lux whipped primer and the L'Oreal Magic Perfecting Base. And quite a few other primers. Lol.

Prefer that mouth I would not pay $52 for a product that was totally unnecessary when I can buy product for eight dollars and that works just as good under my make up I use a lot of product I would never buy Sephora products for the amount of money they charge

But I can’t use oily or greasy

  43. @MartinsGarage97

    February 23, 2024 at 12:09 pm

I will stay with Tatcha, first primer I have found for my mature skin that doesn’t dry my skin out. It makes your skin feel like silk, you don’t use as much makeup and foundation lays down beautifully.

Edit – just a tiny amount, if you use more it’s horrible. I have had my big one for 6 months, so not expensive over time.
