    Klopp defending Trent and Trent doesn't care for the criticism he is getting! They both seem to not see what's coming for both of them. First Klopp and Trent after. Let's see what will happen against Arsenal and City??? But, in all due fairness Trent has become a liability no question about it. I love the kid and would love him to shine but things are getting murkier for him. That mistake allowing Vinicius Jr score againts us in the final of CHL will never be forgiven and Trent doesn't seem to even care about it. That cost us the Champions League Cup! How big of a mistake was that!!!

    yeah no. as long as the criticism is fair, warranted and not a direct attack that derives from bias it’s completely fine. pundits have no problem calling Emerson royale horrible but are holding shields to make it seem like Trent’s defensive deficiency isn’t a major problem for his career going forward. We know his amazing, everyone just wants him close to perfect and he’ll get there if his defending improves, that’s all.

    If your manager doesn't call you out when you don't defend as well as you need to, then you won't improve in that aspect for sure. I like Trent as a player, probably one of the best players going forward but when you look at how Reece James defends players like Zaha,Leao,Vinicious and they all gave him the respect that he is an amazing defender then you know that this same player doesn't fear Trent in the defensive aspect of the game.

    I wish he would listen to criticism he scored a free kick that doesn't mean he is a good defender he is a right a back I couldn't care less about him scoring if he can't get back fast enough to defend which is his job

    In any other team in the world he would play right wing but they have Salah. Once Salah leave/retires I wouldn't be surprised if TAA went on to be the best RW in the world.

    ofcourse Klopp will defend him as he is his player but now every time he has a lapse in his defending it will be magnified and scrutinised even more because its now constantly talked about. interesting to see how he gets on against Arsenal and City. no doubt they will target him

    Trent will be fine, just needs to knuckle down for a few games and if Liverpool pick up some form, so will he. At the moment they’re not playing well collectively and people are looking to blame Trent, Virgil, Nunez.. whoever they can. Bottom line is Liverpool are missing too many chances in games where we are creating lots of clear chances and wasting them, allowing teams to punish us. Trent will go about his business as one of the worlds best players at the tender age of 24, he doesn’t need all this England drama around him on sky and talksport everyday. Hopefully this will blow over and he can focus on what really matters, playing well for lfc

    Maybe he has a depression or something and that’s why he sucks right now.
    Symptoms could be that he doesn’t get a haircut and isn’t really shaving anymore.
    Just saying.
    Depressed people often “let themselves go” physically because they just don’t care anymore and don’t see the point anymore.

    The only thing that's bothering me about Trent everytime I watch Liverpool play is that he's leaves VVD or Matip to do 2 peoples jobs, while he's jogging, walking, stopping, not reacting, ect
