   Why make thing's more difficult when there's no need to,

   For added time two watches on refs should be enough, once the game stops the ref should start a stop watch and at the end of the game that's how much added needs to be played, no scientific studies just add up the time wasted then run the time down ,it's not hard to do

   Also Webb said he wanted celebrations for goal , he should remember players and fans can't because of VAR

    Surrounding the referee should be totally unacceptable and should result in machine-gun yellow and red cards. Fix it immediately. Let then play with six.

    More yellow cards, and post-game punishments by the league, like suspensions, or half-game suspensions. Or, stop counting stoppage time, and start counting live time and play until you get 60 minutes.

    Simple solution to Gary’s point, ensure the player who committed the foul, if yellow carded for it, has to go off for the same amount of time until injured player returns. Alternatively, clock stops every time ball goes out of play and then reduce 90 mins to 60.

    Neville and Carragher are 2 of the main proponents of "killing the game off". Webb's body language seems to be saying – yes it’s because of their team’s historic timewasting and cheating, the 30 second rule is here.
    It also works both ways, if a player goes down injured, jumps up and runs back into the game prematurely, with no break, that can also result in permanent long-term injury.
    Sadly, too many head injuries have taught us this lesson not to listen to the hypocrites that infect our game.

    What about when a player is injured and they have to go off for at least 30 seconds, the player that fouled and caused the injury is also asked to leave until the injured player comes off? It levels the playing field. VAR should of course be looking at if the contact was significant enough.

    The players wasting time, faking injuries have caused the time wasting rules. It should not be allowed. Going to a football game and seeing 60 minutes of active play is a joke out of the 100-120mins you’re there!

    Gary spot on about the 30 second rule. Football is meant to be meritocratic, how can you gain an advantage of playing against 10 men if you injure an opposition. The rule not existing if its a yellow doesnt help as refs get so many decisions for that wrong.

    7:20 – Gary saying "…no one…" about 6 times! Has he surveyed the entire UK fanbase then? As he clearly feels entitled to speak on our behalf. For the record, I'd rather watch an extra 90 seconds.

    Gary is right, they just need to start handing out yellows for it. How many chances does a goal keeper get to waste time on goal kicks, it's absolutely ridiculous. Diving and time-wasting is the biggest problem in football which quick yellows will stamp it out but they're not prepared to do it.

    Garys point about using cards to deter time wasting – is it fair – looking at the Arsenal game were during a throw in – 3 players passed the ball between them out of play and the 3rd player got the yellow when he had the ball the least amount of time?

    Instead of stopping the clock, every time the play stops. They are creating absurd rules for feigning injury and time wasting. Just add on the lost time, how difficult is that?

    i cant believe any sane people agreed with webb on the going off injured , but not being allowed to come back on again for 30 sec rule . its licence to leave your foot in on 50/50 challenges , especially if your 1st to ball but you know theres going to be contact.there should be context in rule i.e. if a player is just going down with needing treatment then yes 30 second rule is right – players needs treatment anyway & if he is feigning it he has lost his advantage – if a player has been really hit then treatment should be applied , off pitch if appropiate , & then game recomense when appropiate , with time adjusted appropiatelynobody wants to see players kicking players so they need to go off pitch for some time,where they can take advantage of that player not being allowed onto pitch

    Just stop the clock like Rugby.. when someone goes down injured, allow play to continue and let medical go treat them.. guaranteed they'll be no rolling around and time wasting. It ain't hard to fix 😂

    I agree with everything that Howard Webb has said. However I think that he needs to address the awful decisions made by referees. Clear fouls which they ignore for one team and not another. There is no uniformity with referees, it is their own personal take on a problem rather than rules. I do agree that footballers have no respect for referees but in a lot of cases it is understandable. They should emulate the Rugby officials stance. They do not put up with bad behaviour but then rugby players have more respect on the pitch than a lot of footballers could ever have.

    One premier league game last season was analysed and only 45 minutes out of 90 minutes was actually playing footballdue mostly to a lot of blatant time wasting. This is not fair on fans who pay a lot of money to watch a game in person.
