   Wow ! Shocking, I just purchased a 15 ml of Good Genes today and I had no idea that there was a little bag inside. Makes me kind of mad.

   Hmmm sooooo many companies do this not just Sunday Riley. This keeps the product from being oxidized to air etc. I’m no fan of sunday Riley at all but find something that’s 15ml and compare it.

   But the luna especially is a very high end product. I had a 5ml sample and it lasted me a month of daily use

   I was super bummed because I found that bag and realized the weight of the container was the majority of what I got. The pump stopped working before I used it all, so that was how I found the bag inside because I wanted to see if I could get anymore product out. And the gold foil detail on the lid and bottle came off from the product on my hand coming in contact. It’s the same amount as their travel size cream and those packages can be opened fully to get all product out.

    To be fair: a compressible bag prevents oxidization of the project, instead of a traditional jar which would get full of air as you use it.

    I came upon your channel because I was trying to open mine. I have been using mine for about 2 months, all you need is a 1/2 pump if that. But it is definitely misleading for how bulking the package is. I love Sunday Riley products. It's in my top 5. Origins, Drunk Elephant, Thomas Peter Roth and Ole Henriksen are the other 4.

    I agree the packaging is not ideal but what's the big deal with the size of the product? 15ml is actually a lot more than the regular travel/trial size products, I've had kits that contained 5ml or 7ml. The industry standard full-size for a bottle of serum is 30ml (go look at any brand in the western market), so 15ml is literally half of that and it's really not bad. Your own interpretation of how long 15ml should last is not the brand's responsibility, it is written on the bottle to be 15ml, that's the actually size of the product, how long it lasts will depend on how much you use per day. I don't even like SR products, but this is really not much of an "issue", if anything, this is standard practice in the industry.

    Think about it as a travel product though, if the actual glass were to break, your product wouldn't be wasted and all over your other stuff, but instead contained in the bag.

    Maybe if they didn’t spend so much on extra glass, the extra bag and the time to clearly mislead people and just fill a damn bottle and be done with it they wouldn’t look so shady and they would still make their money.

    Considering it's a travel size decision to make an internal plastic bag that will prevent spillage of the product if the glass bottle accidentally shatters is one of a great step to give some customer service.

    Wow mind blown. This product is way too overpriced! I'm so glad I didn't throw out the used bottle. Im going to break open my old bottle and get out the remaining dingle bag. Thanks for the viewers who commented re. Farmacy honey I'm gojngy to try it. ❤️👀👍

    I bought this set and it doesn't really work that well. The luna oil is kinda meh. Good genes only helped a tiny bit to shrink my pores. I used the ceo serum and it is also kinda meh. Used it for a month and I don't even need much product for my entire face. I still have it and I'm into Lilyana retinol moisturizer for now. I stopped reaching out for Sunday riley. 😳

    This brand is just so full of crap. I spent so much money on them, as have many people. Riley herself asked her employees to bombard Sephora with fake reviews, including asking them to lie and pretend they struggled with acne for years. This was to make people actually struggling with acne feel like the products would help them, it instilled a false confidence. Also, the fact they went so far out of their way to do this? Disgusting.

    All of their packaging is heavy glass, and that bag makes this airtight. Also, 15 ml is pretty standard for a "mini", that Drunk Elephant bottle you're comparing it to it a full-size bottle.

    You'd have to be pretty gullible to spend $130 or so on this product when you could get something comparable from The Ordinary for about $20. The margins on high end skin care are ridiculous. Do your research

    I worked in R&D and I learned that lines on graduated cylinders are like Xmas decorations. For precision, scales are used. 15 mL = 15 g. Good Genes lactic acid is more viscous than water so sure the bottle can hold 18.5 mL of water but not 18.5 mL of Good Genes. The valve and actuator components of the packaging still have sit in the material and close properly to avoid spillage. Since glass is more prone to breakage than flexible film is during transportation, Sunday Riley probably designed a bag in a bottle. Similar to how wine can be bagged in a box, we don’t want the bag to be punctured. We want the contents protected. Glass makes any package look and feel luxe so Sunday Riley’s got that going for their brand visibility

    I mean it says on the packaging that there's 15 ml of product. I always assumed it was common sense that packaging can be deceptive about how much product there is, and I actually assumed everyone read the content labels…

    My mom bought a skincare product I think by L'oreal. And it advised you to use 15 hazelnut portions on your skin to see a difference over the course of two weeks. And then she could only get out about 10 portions until it was empty 😀

    It’s lame , but they do it to preserve the efficacy. Drunk elephant does the same ,they just have a smaller plastic container that acts as a suction. A lot of brands are getting on this wave to preserve efficacy, shelf life, and to be more hygienic to a degree.

    I was pissed when I figured this out, I usually always open up packaging to scrape out product when getting low because you wouldnt believe the amount of product you will get out instead of wasting. So when getting low on this I tried opening it to find this, I was pissed. I found a dupe that is honestly BETTER than this product and cheaper! I say dupe because it is a lactic acid treatment, the eminence mangosteen daily concentrate. Stuff is amazing, never using good genes ever again! It's like $70 for 35g of product! Which is much cheaper than Sunday riley, performs better, not tested on animals and is made with organic ingredients.

    The bag is probably a way to create a vacuum so the product never comes in contact with air while it’s being pumped. Normal pumps like hand soap pumps have to allow air back into the bottle as the soap is pumped out to work properly. This may actually be an innovative way to keep the product from spoiling too quickly!

    Protip: when reading the measuring cylinder, read the number where the bottom of the meniscus (curved line) is touching 😁
