I have comments!
1) Kat! I think you look cute in that poncho, and I think the messy braid is cute, too. I am also wearing a poncho and messy hair today. You look very chic in an Olsen twins kinda way.
2) I hope UD responds to the criticism by doing another shoot with a Black model. I really want to get the nude palette and the lipsticks (I'm not a big palette person, so I don't already have a million nude palettes, and this is the kind of limited edition collection I can get behind). Being a fan of Basquiat, I tend to agree with the criticism and don't want to buy if they don't respond in a respectful way.

the jeffreexmanny collab is so boring. i was hoping for atleast one metallic liquid lipstick and that the highlighter is like more of a "wearable" duochrome (a white with a shift of lavender, or with a gold shift).

Ruby Rose is a huge Basquiat fan. She legit has 2 Basquiat tattoos. Can't think of anybody better to model for it! And whether or not UD intentionally is releasing on 4/20 because of the "420" connotation, I don't think it's disrespectful to the artist in any way. He died of a heroin overdose… no one dies of a weed overdose. Basquiat's estate approached UD about doing the collab… I see no trouble with any of it and I can't wait to buy it!

420 is actually not a police radio code for marajuana (420 is usually a radio code for homicide). Supposedly 420 came from a group of friends called the Waldos back in the '70s and they claim the grateful dead stole it from them. I think the urban decay controversy is a reach. basquiat died of a heroine overdose so releasing the collection on a weed holiday isn't really relevant and most likely a coincidence

For the TotalMakeupJunkie101 collab, I'm wondering if it's with Lonely Planet Cosmetics? They're her favorite liquid lipstick brand, and she talks about them all the time. But they're also rebranding (name and everything) right now and reopening under a new name, so I wonder since nobody recognizes the feather logo if it's the new face of the old Lonely Planet. 🤔
