Apologies in advance for the audio in this week's ep. We got a fancy new mic set up, and despite successful tests, in true BN fashion we fucked it up and had to rely on the backup camera audio. The stick on eye wings are designed for two different situations – one is when you need to change makeup styles very quickly and don't have the ability to remove and replace (eg amateur photoshoots). The second situation is for people who want to be 'vampy' for a short time but, for whatever reason (family, work, etc), have to go back to a 'sensible' look at an instant. I can envision a teenager who can just about get away with a bit of eyeliner leaving the house and sticking them on and being able to remove them the second their stern parents turn up 30 minutes early to the event.

Excited for Hourglass, but not sold on the packaging. I need a longer look at some of the Tarte releases… The Balm's color stories are way more up my alley than all these rainbow releases! And Revolution food palettes will also require another looksie.

Could be a nice video to try out those brow pens on differently prepped skin. Catrice just came out with such a 4 prong eyebrow pen and I bought it. First I thought it dried out during application (mid brow), but then I tried it on the back of my hand and on clean skin it was still going on. It just did not apply over makeup at all. So maybe the application tip from ciate is not just given for longevity purposes.

I was in the crowd hoping that Haus Beauty would be the edgy/trendy/goth-adjacent brand that could replace KVD… but the shit that's come out so far is so whack and being Amazon-exclusive makes the whole brand an immediate pass for me. Oh well, I'll just keep my money. ⌛️⏳
