Several countries, including Canada and India, have announced a ban on the use of single-use plastic. Earlier this year, 124 countries pledged to end plastic pollution in the near future. A recent report said single-use plastics account for 1/3rd of all plastic produced globally.

So what… in the end people will use multi-use plastic one time before throwing it away. While the plastic littering the ocean still mainly consists of old fishing nets.

The plastic pollution around the world reached colossal proportions. Some form of regulation is necessary, ideally on global level. There is no need for all the single use stuff.
But the main thing is good WASTE MANAGEMENT and ENVIRONMENTAL CONSCIOUSNESS. Simply don't throw your rubbish into a river but put it in a bin! 👍

Has the Canadian Environment Minister double checked the recycling containers shipped to India 🇮🇳 for recycling?… previous containers were found to be contaminated with other non recyclable materials and they were fined for it…
