India, US, EU and Saudi Arabia announced India Middle East Europe Economic Corridor on the sidelines of the G20 leaders’ summit in New Delhi. The Megaproject is being seen as the rival of China’s Belt and Road initiative. The IMEC will enhance global trade in West Asia and also improve Israel’s position as a hub for transporting goods. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is at the focus of an unprecedented international project that will link infrastructure from Asia to Europe. From the beginning, it's already a dashed or broken lines as shown. It shows the current India's own construction, financial, technological capabilities and competency of managing a mega projects. In short, always like to run before learning how to walk gracefully. At India's speed, how long will it materialize and be reliably in operation?

Well, wait for 6 months, and then see if anybody is still talking about it. To be honest, it sounds nothing about a pipe dream and a talk show. First of all, where the funding come from? Saudi Arabia? Europe? US?, second of all, who will do the heavy lifting? Remember, before this, there were Build Back Better and Global Gateway? where are they now?

China alway want a healthy competition, it help China to concerntrate & competition is better for the rest of the world. This is the stupidest project that can be dream up by politicians to make some company rich.. there is an existing suez canal which can be used for the same purpose. No originality if to be compared to a section of the BRI.. scale wise, pathetic. Viability, zero as no country can build railway in desert except China… India 😂😂😂 this is not bollywood

China with over 40000 km of High Speed Rail, everyday (I mean everyday) the HS trains go almost every 15 min, but filled with seats occupied, you need to "rush" to get the ticket, this is the reality in China.

the whole thing is actually just build a railway in the middle east desert. haha. no significance at all. for India to go to Europe it is just much easier and cheaper to go through the water way anyway, totally waste of time and money, it cannot be in anyway compete with BRI.

Without even having started, we read too much into imec. This is something like day dreaming. What is there to compare our imec initiative to bri. Let Chinese have their bri and we our imec and should not be a counter or offensive to any other country but a true economic corridor that help the progress of our nation and the humanity at large.
