The club extended his contract because it's cheaper than going and getting someone who can make an impact of the bench, the same thing we did with Mata last year.
He got 4 assists in 44 games in that season the bloke on the right was on about, had a couple good months under Mourinho and that goal against palace but largely poor overall.
