We need to make signings to firstly solidify the chances of a consecutive high performing season and secondly to compete again with the machine that is Man City; who have strengthened with the signing of Rodri. I am excited by the emergence of Brewster into the first team squad however; looks a natural finisher and has impressed in the academy and the England youth set-up!

Liverpool needs fluidity and dominance in their play to have any chance to win anything again with the same squad of players, which I do not really see they are capable of doing unless they sign one or two very technical players for midfield and attack who are good at dominating the ball in tight spaces then able to play the killer pass to Salah, Mane or Firmino. With the same midfielders I do not see Liverpool improving much next season to be honest. You can’t rely on players with injury history.

Klopp has to buy players particularly in front, if Klopp doesn't extend his contract and bring more players, this means he is already done with the champions league and there is no further ambitions to win more trophies.

Alberto Moreno played 3 times last season and when Robinson was injured he deployed Milner there as cover… so for me Moreno leaving is a non issue…
For our midfield positions we have Lallana and Ox returning…. last season we had Keita, Fabinho, Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum competing for 3 spaces we now have 7 available plus any U23s..
With our 3 forward positions – we have Mane Salah and Firmino… they will be backed up by Shaquiri, Origi and now Brewster… Wilson and Kent have looked good so far in preseason and would be good U23 options.. Wilson could be better suited as an 8…
For me do we need to strengthen, for me only if we can buy better than what we have for the system we deploy… the one always mentioned is Firmino but when stats and performances are looked at in detail there are next to no forwards available that can do his role in the team… Brewster so far in pre season has shown those glimpses albeit against lower league opposition..
