Binge watching your Channel…fucking loving it ♥️🇦🇺 I’m not sure if I trust sponsored videos especially when the YouTuber doesn’t disclose sponsorship and then you find out much later…I then get a little sus…in a big way ….love ya girls♥️🇦🇺 I think if you use or believe whole heartedly in the product then I don’t have a problem with certain sponsorships if it’s disclosed up front….✊♥️🇦🇺

I honestly don’t care if videos are sponsored because I watch YouTube for entertainment and buy what I’m interested in regardless of what a youtuber says lol

Of course you’ve got to do what feels right for you, but I really think you’re devaluing your work here. And I would be heartbroken if you had to do fewer videos or God forbid, stop providing content, because you weren’t able to continue spending your time on this for economic reasons. I pay through the nose for cable television, movies, magazines, and all sorts of other entertainment, a lot of which is crap. I would be DELIGHTED to pay for the entertainment you provide and I suspect others would too. What you do has value (really!) and you’re both sacrificing a great deal to entertain. None of us is entitled to this content, much less for free. So I hope you’ll seriously explore raising money through any and all methods, including direct, voluntary contributions from subscribers. And before anyone goes berserk, the key here is “voluntary.” Only those who want to contribute and who have the means to do so would. Status quo for everyone else.

When brands promote stuff too much it really puts me of the product and company because it makes them look really desperate. The worst thing is when 'famous' people promote stuff that they don't have/need such as acne creams even though they don't have acne, or fit teas when the people are already fit. How are you supposed to see if a product works if the advertiser doesn't even test it or have the need to use it

omg didn't know about this series! was scrolling through your channel trying to find videos that I missed in the drought of videos in the new year and needed my fix of bn. (btw totally get why you need a break, good on you) but now I'm going to sit down and watch the rest too:)

Loved this!! You two always brighten my day when there’s a new video. You could host a non-makeup talk show and I’d watch. Like Hailey said, it feels like y’all are “friends”. And seriously, I’d be happy to financially contribute. I get enjoyment from your labour and I want it to continue 🙂 its selfish of me 😛

Don't ever start a Patreon and be the great business women that you are. These videos are essentially a podcast, so treat them that way in terms of a business model. So proud of you for giving us great content. Thanks, guys!!

I love wine time! I think it's a great place for you both to get your opinions out there and talk about what is going on behind the scenes of Beauty News. All I can say in response is that I hope you both feel the support from your subscribers. I like to thumbs up and comment on your vids because I believe it aids you with the mysterious youtube algorithm and I am always wanting to see your channel grow. Ultimately the decisions you make for the future of the channel have to be in your own best interests and I imagine your subs will be ok with whatever you come up with. : )

Can you give an explanatation about how Youtube Red actually works for content creators? I'm wary of it, even though I haaaaaate ads because I worry that people I watch won't get paid what they're worth. Even with ads, content creators don't really get paid what they're worth.

Thanks for this! I hope someone looking for this understanding watches this. I have never minded when it has been sponsored content on a channel until it started feeling disingenuous! How i feel about it: Make your money! You work hard! But please don’t try to cheat me is all I ask!! If it isnt great tell me how to make it work

I don't mind the sponsored content where they just have a minute at the beginning and say this is brought to you by blah blah blah. I don't mind sometimes in beauty videos where there is one or two products slipped in but other times like you say it is full on and seems forced. I dunno, I don't mind sponsored content but I also watch a lot of UK creators who are very upfront!

I am a little embarrassed a lot of people are hopping on the youtube train then complaining there is not enough money.
There should always be a thought at the back of your mind that youtube isn't going to last forever.

When you guys said that influencers should feel like a friend, it made me sad for a second (because of some of my favorites who have gotten quite big and no longer give me that feeling), but made me appreciate the content creators I adore (like you two!)

Great video, loved hearing your thoughts and experiences on both sides. One of my favorite beauty youtubers has started doing more sponsored videos lately. While I appreciate the fact that she has to earn money, most of the sponsored ones are so fake. I just skip those videos. I don't understand why people always think they need to reprimand someone else or point out when they don't agree. Sometimes its ok to just silently disagree and go on with your day. Love watching you ladies 😁
