   You dont have to pay customs for colorpop in the UK anymore. You pay a slightly higher shipping fee which means your items will go straight through customs which is great!

   I am in Germany and have ordered the Hatice Schmidt Day palette (not being part of the huge fan community) and for me it works great. I have seen lots of german YT reviews both positive and negative, most of them uploaded the same day when people have actually received the package (so they said) and I am wondering how much they could have tried them out. Just an observation of mine. Some more facts: In her insta story both of the palettes have been swatched (on different skin types) and both of the palettes have been destroyed and weighed with being far over 20 g each; in her videos when she reviewed all kinds of palettes she actually never did swatches with saying it does only make sense to see a colour on the lid; in the launch video they said it is the best product of all – which does not surprise me as a) this is the style of all her videos (“mama's got the hottest shit ever“) and b) I would not expect anybody launching his brand would tell you his stuff is rather unspectacular. It is only 2 people managing the brand (Hatice and her husband) and people do make errors and forget things. It is a very small new Indie brand which cannot afford high amounts for better prices. Mrs. Schmidt was always clear about the fact that she goes for high-end, nobody knowing her videos could have expected drugstore products. There is more facts for sure, one of them being that people started being really offensive against her, insulting as well – I am just wondering on which basis? If you do not like the price, do not buy it. If you do not like the colors, do not buy it. If you do not know why things are as they are (may it be price or whatever) do not start spreading assumptions around like “I believe she wants to rip her fans off“, “I do not believe she has forgotten the swatches“,… . If somebody has got points to criticize – that is fine, but why getting offensive against her or really anybody who actually likes the products? Excuse me, we are talking about a cosmetic product here still. I would like to know if e.g. Pat McGrath is getting hate because of her prices too? Just wondering. I am observing all of this as non-expert and if this is how online makeup communities act, I am quitting as it is making me sad.

   @beautynews I strongly suspect the exclusion of vitamin e in the ciate glosses is because they’re gluten free. Not always, but often vitamin e is NOT gluten free. Many of ciate’s products are GF. You can obviously make good products without it and it opens up their customer base (especially when it comes to lip products). So the ingredient exclusion actually makes a lot of sense.

    I kinda love that Hatice audience is that loyal to her and have that much of a presence on your videos (when you mention her), it is nice that there is recognition of products outside of Germany.
    But if you want to test a German palette and maybe a Hatice palette, test her collaboration with lov, the palette (should still be available, also lov is a great brand) as it apparently is way better

    Just tried to see what the shipping would be for one pallete of hatice schmidt's collection to the USA and the shipping does not include Custom charges/duties Oof so it would be $86.22 plus custom "By placing the order I recognise that my order is shipped from Germany to USA. The local VAT, costs of customs clearance and customs duties are not included in the total amount of the order and have to be settled with third parties. I bear the costs."

    Hatice is skilled, entertaining, honest and kind in her videos and one can trust her judgements about make-up. Of course regarding foundation and concealer you have to consider her age and her skin type … but to mention "the best quality on the market" and charging that incredible high price for an eyeshadow palette leads to such very (!) high expectations that they are impossible to meet. In addition to the expensive shipping costs within Europe I don't think that that was a wise decision. Although the most German influencers spoke warmly and gave good reviews you could see patchiness, fallout and/or a lack of pigment as in other eyeshadows on the market. 😉

    I see that revolution palettes more like an inspiration taken from colourpop, just as colourpop monochromatic took it from Huda first.
    Won't buy them cause I don't like the quality, but I don't think is a total rip off
