Bangladesh gets into election mode. Opposition BNP has staged a string of protests against the ruling Sheikh Hasina government demanding it step down and make way for an interim non-political party administration that will ensure a free and fair election. The pre-poll caretaker government issue has remained a contentious one for years, with the BNP alleging massive rigging over successive elections in its absence.
