Kind of feel like the 'don't like don't use' comment about KKW was short sighted, especially when you compare it to contouring. It's normal in make-up to contour now – people are saying they don't want whole body contouring to become the norm.
You don't have to buy a product to be subject the standards that it's widespread use brings. That being said, from the pushback I can't imagine it becoming the norm – which I'm personally pretty glad about.

Diamond powder is supposed to gently exfoliated the top layer of skin, kinda weird to have that in mascara though. Also it adds some “glow”, again not really needed for mascara

Diamonds are just carbons atoms in a certain structure (that's what gives it it's strenght). When they say it contains diamond, it probably just contains carbon..
