Assam kills ancient 1935 law on Muslim marriages as it eyes on bringing in UCC | World DNA | WION
The 1935 Assam Muslim Marriage and Divorce Registration Act has been repealed by the BJP government led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The Chief Minister presided over the state cabinet meeting on Friday, during which the decision was made.

Title should have been- Addam finally repeals 89 years old draconian Muslim Marriage Act. Which allows men to have 4 wives.
The used words in Title are portraying a picture where muslims are opressed from practicing years old traditions of their marriage.
So I request wion to call a spade a spade.
