Looking back at this interview Gary thought Chelsea were going to end up in the red but the Saudi signings have made sure that doesn't happen. The only one sucking lemons is Gary now with his petty opposition to the hard hitters of the game SAUDI ARABIA.

Overjoyed that Pochettino is the new Chelsea manager. I don't blame Potter for that Boehly's offer, the blame is all Boehly's for believing GP was the right man for the job.

  8. @soccersprint

    March 8, 2024 at 10:35 pm

Yeah biggest challenge for Pochettino will be to manage Boehly and keep him in check. The next challenge is to undo the damage done by Boehly when he took over the club. That reversal of damage wont be easy, especially with all those crazy signings and big contracts Boehly made. So great talent was signed but maybe not the right combination of talent to acheive the objective of consistent winning. After a season under owner Boehly and Boehlys sub-par managers Potter and Lampard, the players lost a lot of confidence and belief in themselves. Pochettino probably has to work all kinds of Psychology magic to get the players back to a superior level of confidence and also replenish their discipline and work ethic.

If he could make Delle Ali look like a star Chelsea will. Be a piece of cake

Poch now dead to me. Hoping he fails big time at that horrible club

  11. @awalkoflife6721

    March 8, 2024 at 10:35 pm

    He's done nothing at Tottenham.
He won some stuff at PSG, but with that squad, you can put a poch, pet of an Ipswich Town fan, he can still win something.
Good luck Poch. Good luck Chelsea. He's particularly bad at managing talent.

  12. @angeodeleo

    March 8, 2024 at 10:35 pm

Boehly will not be welcome in the dressingroom under Pochettino. He can try the referee's dressingroom if he dares.

Chease players are afraid of winning something might be happening behind the scenes

  14. @palermothegoalgod-wd2wp

    March 8, 2024 at 10:35 pm

Chelsea should make Steve Cooper manager, give him a few billion to spend and he will buy 300 players and surely Chelsea then can pick 11 to win a few games

  15. @beatonthedonis

    March 8, 2024 at 10:35 pm

This means Chelsea are getting relegated next season.

  16. @greyman8801

    March 8, 2024 at 10:35 pm

For what the owners wanted to accomplish with Potter, Poch would’ve been the better choice. He has a better track record and can provide stability within this team. I originally did not want him, but I’m warming up to it. I think this is what we needed. We cannot go back to hire/fire mentality again.

Refreshing to not just hear his opinion… but an HONEST opinion

  18. @FreshAlchemy

    March 8, 2024 at 10:35 pm

    All very uninteresting.

I'm more concerned about Martin Tyler's worn out, post-match voice, which would appear to suggest that he can no longer handle the rigors of match commentary. He's had enough out of the game, he should do the right thing and step aside to make room for the new blood. I am not being disingenuous or speaking out of turn when I say that a large (perhaps even most) football fans agree that his commentary lacks the energy and zest of days gone by. He cannot seem to muster the passion to do football matches justice any longer with his lacklustre commentary, which many of us agree is a displeasure to listen to.

The fact that he's clinging onto this gig for dear life would further suggest that he has no plans to retire and so therefore must be relieved of his duties, forthwith. Time to put the dispassionate old git out to pasture!

  19. @simtyful

    March 8, 2024 at 10:35 pm

I remember seeing pictures of Abramovic (completely um-posed): on a cold Wednesday night. soaking wet, in the pouring rain, in Aldershot, watching either a (pre Emma Hayes) Women's game or an academy match. That is where the Chelsea success story started. Todd Boehly needs to wake up and understand that very quickly or we're screwed.

What a stupid idea by chelsea, poch is the perfect manager for them but why bring him in now, when the season is over in 2 weeks, his not going to do much in 2 games

  25. @ZevFei

On 2 June 2004, Mourinho moved to Chelsea on a three-year contract. Under Mourinho, Chelsea built on the potential developed in the previous season. he spent in excess of £70 million in transfer fees on players such as Didier Drogba (£24 million) from Marseille, He secured his first trophy by winning the League Cup against Liverpool 3–2. Chelsea met Barcelona in the Champions League round of 16, a highly contested match where the Blues lost away in the first leg 2–1 but advanced on aggregate, winning at home 4–2. In the quarter-finals against Bayern Munich, Mourinho who was banned from attending the stadium, waited in the dressing room before the match to talk to his players, then he hid in a laundry basket to leave the stadium. Chelsea were knocked out of the competition by a controversial goal in the semi-finals by eventual winners Liverpool. Under Mourinho, Chelsea secured their first top-flight domestic title in 50 years, setting a string of English football records in the process, including the most points ever achieved in the Premier League (95) and the fewest goals conceded (15). Mourinho would leave the club at the season's conclusion due to alleged poor relations with owner Roman Abramovich and a power struggle with sporting director Frank Arnesen. Since then Chelsea and Drogba went downhill until Tuchel come in and win the CL. And today after Tuchel leave too, Chelsea is back to where they belong when Jose leave the club. Sad reality. Once politics involved in sports, nothing will go well.

    Well, he is not wrong.

  28. @DF-ih5wl

    March 8, 2024 at 10:35 pm

Poch was good but not great. He is quite stubborn. He is not flexible with tactic and players. Moura scored three times to get Spurs in CL final but Poch still doesn't start him in the final. Kane had the injury got the start and unable to make an impact in that game.

The only thing good in his CV is taking spurs to a European final . which was luck and resulted to a poor boring final with Liverpool where odds were more than 100% Liverpool winning

Gutted about him going there – THFC ARE A SHAMBLES of a club. In all honesty, we’ll never win anything until the owners and Levy sell up and pass the reins over to someone else. I’ll take dirty money, oil money, sugar daddy money – just new owners that want to create a successful FOOTBALL team, not financially flourishing business. Success will make money. I know money won’t make success but it’s no good being ran like a business floundering in 7/8th. I want to support a team that challenges and will hopefully be successful not support a Blue Chip company and wear a shirt that has a company logo on rather than a football badge

Like Roberto Martinez, not a serial winner. Shedding tears after beating Ajax, reaching the Champions League final against Liverpool summarizes it. One game premature.

It's not a Mauricio Pochettino squad what Chelsea's got. He doesn't like established stars with big egos, he creates stars from young prospects. & That creates Pochettino squads. This team is poison at the moment. Their transfer policy is mindless.

    March 8, 2024 at 10:35 pm

Gary Neville el phenomeno – 600 games with a mighty 7 goals.

1 goal in every 85 games, lol youd think its statistically impossibility to be with a high flying team and not score. Defense or no defense. Guy cant comment on anything.
