I’m a Newcastle fan. That goal should never have stood. Ball was out for me. Arsenal were their own worst enemies in the grand scheme of the game though. If you want to win at st James you have to do two things: 1) slow the game down 2) silence the crowd . Arsenal were in control and had achieved both until Havertz made that stupid tackle. As soon as he lunged at Longstaff the game changed. The crowd turned up to 11 and Newcastle’s tempo changed. Bruno should have saw red and lost his head for sure. IMO as a result of the Havertz challenge. All hypothetical . I’m not sure anyone would have really complained if Havertz had seen red. Feet were off the ground and he was late. Milliseconds from snapping Longstaff ankle
