this is now the Royal Navy test, (DAA) i took my first attempt at the DAA blind after previously passing my psychometric last year, and was unsuccessful as i wasn't sure what to expect because their website was going through changes so they never had practice question on the website. this video shows the more realistic questions to expect from the Royal Navy test. hopefully i pass my 2nd attempt! was waiting for a start date for HMS Raleigh before they introduced the DAA, now i need to revise again.

I took all the OASC Selection Tests at Biggin Hill 1976 for Pilot &/or Navigator. We (my syndicate) were all invited to take the Selection Tests for NCO Aircrew eg Flight Engineer (C130) or Air Loadmaster also and on considering these tests were for Non-Commissioned Aircrew they were far harder and more technical than the Officer Selection Tests ! Despite our academic achievements and a sprinkling of Flying Scolarships amongst our motley clutch of Pilot "hopefuls" not one of us even got considered for a Ground Commission !

If anyone needs a tip that has helped me massively increase my time on the work rate tests. If you start at the end letter or number you will usually get the answer alot faster than if you were to start on the first. Although this doesn't work for every question I have found that it definitely does for the majority.

Wondering if anyone can help me, I have always really struggled with maths. I have my AST in 2 weeks but I am worried I won’t score high on the maths…my questions being, is the assessment designed to see where you’re at academically and what jobs you can apply for, or is it a real exam where if I don’t pass the maths I won’t get through to the next stage in the process?

I want to join as a logistics mover btw. Thanks for any help.

5 TIPS FOR PASSING A TEACHER INTERVIEW!
If you have a teacher interview coming up, preparation is essential. Teacher interviews can be challenging because the panel will assess not only your teaching knowledge and experience, but also your ability to safeguard pupils, manage behaviour, communicate effectively and contribute positively to the school.

Here are my 5 top teacher interview tips to help you prepare, answer the questions confidently and increase your chances of success.

TIP 1 – RESEARCH THE SCHOOL BEFORE YOUR TEACHER INTERVIEW
Before your interview, spend time researching the school. Read its website, values, ethos, curriculum information and latest news. If available, read the most recent inspection report.

Think carefully about why you want to teach at THAT particular school. Avoid generic answers such as, “It has a good reputation.”

Instead, identify specific things that attract you to the school and explain how your teaching style, values and experience will enable you to make a positive contribution.

TIP 2 – STUDY THE TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION
One of the best ways to predict teacher interview questions is to read the job description carefully.

Highlight the essential skills, qualities and responsibilities. These might include lesson planning, behaviour management, safeguarding, assessment, teamwork, communication, inclusion and supporting pupil progress.

For each requirement, prepare an example that demonstrates you have the necessary skills.

TIP 3 – PREPARE FOR COMMON TEACHER INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
Never attend a teaching interview without preparing answers to the most common questions.

These could include:

Why do you want to be a teacher?

Why do you want to work at our school?

What makes an effective teacher?

How would you deal with challenging behaviour?

How would you support a pupil who was struggling?

What are your greatest strengths as a teacher?

Preparing answers in advance does not mean memorising a script. It means knowing the key points you want to discuss so you can answer confidently.

TIP 4 – KNOW YOUR SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
Safeguarding is one of the most important areas to prepare for in any teacher interview.

Understand your responsibilities and be ready to explain what you would do if a pupil disclosed something concerning to you.

Your priority should always be the safety and welfare of the child. Listen carefully, remain calm, do not promise confidentiality, record the facts accurately and follow the school’s safeguarding procedures by reporting the concern to the appropriate safeguarding lead.

TIP 5 – USE EXAMPLES TO PROVE YOUR ABILITY
Strong teacher interview answers contain evidence.

When answering behavioural or situational teacher interview questions, give examples of occasions when you have managed challenging behaviour, worked with colleagues, supported pupils, solved problems or adapted your teaching.

Use the STAR method: Situation, Task, Action and Result.

Most importantly, focus heavily on the ACTIONS you took and finish with a positive outcome or lesson learned.

The key to passing a teacher interview is preparation. Research the school, study the job description, prepare for common teacher interview questions, understand safeguarding and have strong examples ready.

Do these five things and you will walk into your teacher interview feeling far more confident, prepared and ready to demonstrate why you are the right person for the teaching position.

JOB INTERVIEW CLOSING STATEMENT! (SAY THIS TO PASS YOUR INTERVIEW!)

Published

on

JOB INTERVIEW CLOSING STATEMENT! (SAY THIS TO PASS YOUR INTERVIEW!)
#jobinterview #interview #interviewquestions #interviewpreparation
*** THE POWER OF A JOB INTERVIEW CLOSING STATEMENT! (Why It Matters) ***
Most candidates spend all their time preparing answers to interview questions, but very few think about how they are going to END the interview.

That is a mistake.

A strong job interview closing statement gives you one final opportunity to remind the hiring manager why you are a good fit for the role and leave them with a positive impression.

WHAT IS A JOB INTERVIEW CLOSING STATEMENT?
A closing statement is a short, confident message delivered towards the end of your interview, usually just before you leave.

Think of it as your final opportunity to sell yourself.

It should reinforce your interest in the position, briefly remind the interviewer of the value you can bring to their team, and demonstrate that you genuinely want the job.

WHY IS A CLOSING STATEMENT SO IMPORTANT?
The end of your interview is incredibly important because it is one of the last things the hiring manager will remember about you.

Many candidates finish weakly. They answer the final question, thank the interviewer and leave.

A prepared candidate does something different.

They use those final few moments to reinforce three things:

1. THEIR ENTHUSIASM – They make it clear they genuinely want the position.

2. THEIR VALUE – They remind the hiring manager of the skills, qualities and experience they will bring to the role.

3. THEIR CONFIDENCE – They finish positively instead of allowing the interview to simply fade out.

A strong closing statement can also help you recover from an interview where one or two answers did not go as well as you hoped. It gives you a final opportunity to refocus the interviewer’s attention on your strengths and suitability.

HOW SHOULD YOU DELIVER YOUR CLOSING STATEMENT?
Keep it SHORT. Your closing statement should not become another five-minute answer.

Keep it POSITIVE. Focus on what you can contribute and why you are excited about the opportunity.

Be CONFIDENT, but never arrogant. Maintain good eye contact, sit upright and speak clearly.

Most importantly, prepare your closing statement BEFORE your interview. Do not try to invent it on the spot when you are nervous.

Remember this:

The interview is not finished until you walk out of the room or leave the video call.

Use those final few seconds wisely.

A powerful closing statement could be the difference between being remembered as another good candidate… and being remembered as the person they want to hire.

7 RED FLAGS That Reveal a TOXIC COMPANY in a JOB INTERVIEW!

Published

7 JOB INTERVIEW RED FLAGS you should NEVER ignore! 🚩 A job interview isn’t just an opportunity for an employer to decide whether you’re right for them — it’s your chance to decide whether they’re the right company for YOU.

In this video, I reveal 7 warning signs that could indicate a toxic company, bad manager or unhealthy workplace culture. Spotting these red flags during the interview could save you from accepting a job you later regret.

Some employers will never openly admit they have high staff turnover, poor leadership, unreasonable expectations or a negative working environment. However, if you know what to look and listen for, the clues can often appear during the recruitment process.

I will explain the 7 biggest job interview red flags, what each warning sign could tell you about the company, and the smart questions you can ask to find out more BEFORE accepting a job offer.

You’ll learn how to spot warning signs such as:

🚩 A missing or unclear job description.
🚩 Negative comments about the person who previously held the position.
🚩 Vague or evasive answers to reasonable interview questions.
🚩 Behaviour that makes you feel uncomfortable or disrespected.
🚩 Unrealistic expectations about workload, hours or availability.
🚩 Signs of poor management, communication or workplace culture.
🚩 A recruitment process that leaves you questioning whether you actually want the job.

I’ll also give you questions to ask at the end of your interview that can reveal valuable information about the manager, team, expectations and company culture.

I’ve spent more than 30 years as a manager, leader and recruitment expert, and one of the biggest mistakes candidates make is concentrating entirely on getting the job.

Of course you want to impress the hiring manager — but you should also be assessing THEM.

A job can have a great salary and impressive title, but if the workplace culture is toxic, the wrong decision can seriously affect your career and happiness.

So, before you say YES to your next job offer, watch this video and learn the 7 RED FLAGS THAT COULD MEAN YOU SHOULD TURN DOWN THE JOB!

👇 QUESTION: What’s the biggest red flag you’ve ever experienced during a job interview? Let me know in the comments!

RICHARD MCMUNN’S 5 ESSENTIAL TIPS FOR JOB INTERVIEW SUCCESS!
1. RESEARCH THE COMPANY
Understand the company’s products, services, values, recent achievements and future goals. This proves you are genuinely interested and helps you give targeted answers.
ACTION: Visit the company website and identify 3 facts you can mention during your interview.

2. PREPARE ANSWERS TO THE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS
Do not leave your answers to chance. Preparing in advance helps you speak confidently, avoid rambling and give evidence of why you are suitable.
ACTION: Prepare and practise answers to Tell me about yourself, Why do you want this job? and Why should we hire you?

3. USE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES TO PROVE YOUR SKILLS
Anyone can claim to be a good team worker or problem-solver. Strong candidates prove it with evidence from previous situations.
ACTION: Prepare several STAR examples covering teamwork, problem-solving, conflict, pressure and achievement.

4. KNOW THE JOB DESCRIPTION
The job description tells you what the employer is looking for. Your answers should demonstrate that you already possess the skills, qualities and behaviours required.
ACTION: Highlight the 5 most important requirements and prepare evidence of how you meet each one.

5. ASK SMART QUESTIONS AT THE END
The questions you ask can demonstrate enthusiasm, ambition and a genuine desire to succeed in the role. Never simply say, “No, I don’t have any questions.”
ACTION: Prepare 3 intelligent questions, such as: “What would you need me to achieve in the first 90 days to be considered a successful hire?”
