What is the purpose of the TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF interview question? 00:53
The question is designed to assess:
1. Communication Skills.
If you can’t talk confidently about yourself, you will struggle to talk about the company’s products and services to customers or communicate clearly with co-workers and managers.
2. Suitability for the role.
The hiring manager wants to assess, early in the interview, whether you can do the job properly. They will assess your answer against the job description.

I want this job primarly because it is with your company I have heard nothing but positive things about your organization from who have worked here. The first five seconds of this video show the honest answer to this question, and the remaining 6 minutes show how to deceive the interviewer into making them believe some BS instead. And you have to do this or you don't get hired. Essentially every employer has decided either you lie convincingly to them in an interview or you starve. We deserve to have aliens destroy us, we are a terrible species.
