Israel-Palestine War: Gaza’s National Bank building explodes after Israeli air strike | WION

Israeli air strikes and artillery shelling struck more than 500 targets belonging to the Hamas and Islamic Jihad militant groups in the Gaza Strip. Overnight thick plumes of smoke blew from the Palestinian Enclave as the strikes continued in the early hours of morning. Israel has been carrying out continuous air strikes in the Gaza Strip in response to the surprise large-scale attack by the militants on Saturday.

    The war will accomplish nothing. The answer is education. Israel should learn from the Chinese approach in Xinjiang. If Israel just build a few re-education centers to lock up and brainwash the entire Palestinian population, they will all become peaceful and obedient after a decade or two. The Gaza Strip has a population of only about 2.3 million people. There is no technical difficulty to lock them all up.

Former Pentagon adviser Douglas MacGregor has warned that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could be dragging the United States deeper into the ongoing conflict in West Asia. MacGregor said the war is likely to continue for weeks as tensions between Israel and Iran escalate and regional actors become increasingly involved.

He also warned that any move to close the Strait of Hormuz would be a “disaster” for global trade and energy markets. The strategic waterway is one of the world’s most critical oil shipping routes, carrying a significant portion of global crude exports.
