WHY IS THE INTERVIEWER ASKING YOU THE QUESTION, TELL ME ABOUT A TIME WHEN YOU HAD TO DEAL WITH A DIFFICULT CO-WORKER!

They are asking you this interview question for 2 reasons.

REASON #1. How you deal with difficult co-workers says a lot about your maturity, your interpersonal skills, and your teamwork skills. Unless you deal with a difficult co-worker in a smart and confident manner, the team’s progression can often be impacted.

REASON #2. They want to hear of a previous situation where you successfully dealt with a difficult co-worker because if you have prior experience of this type of situation, you will more likely be a great fit for their team.

Let me now tell you the NUMBER ONE BEST METHOD for structuring your answer to the behavioural interview question, tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult co-worker.

The best method to use is called the STAR TECHNIQUE.

The STAR technique stands for, situation, task, action, and result.

– Start off your answer and tell the interviewer the SITUATION you were faced with.

– Second, tell the interviewer the TASK that needed doing.

– Next, give specific details about the ACTION you took to achieve the task.

– Finally, finish off your answer and tell the interviewer the RESULTS following your actions.

HOW TO STOP BEING NERVOUS IN A JOB INTERVIEW! (8 RULES)

HOW TO STOP BEING NERVOUS IN A JOB INTERVIEW! (8 RULES YOU MUST FOLLOW) How to Answer Tell Me About Yourself in an Interview: https://youtu.be/W2_08tLMmyI?si=a0BVshGSj1_M7Xqz #interviews #interviewtips #interviewpreparation
*** HOW TO OVERCOME INTERVIEW NERVES & BOOST YOUR CONFIDENCE! ***
Feeling nervous before a job interview is completely normal. The good news is that you can control those nerves and turn them into positive energy.

Here are 8 simple rules to help you feel calmer, think clearly and perform at your best.

SECTION 1 – WHY YOU GET NERVOUS BEFORE JOB INTERVIEWS
• Interviews are unfamiliar. Most people only attend a handful of interviews during their career, so they naturally feel uncomfortable.

• You don’t practise them regularly. If you attended an interview every day, they would soon become a breeze. Confidence comes from familiarity and repetition.

• Go easy on yourself. Feeling nervous doesn’t mean you are bad at interviews. It simply means the outcome matters to you.

• Interviewers expect some nerves. They know candidates may be anxious and won’t necessarily judge you negatively for showing nervousness.

SECTION 2 – 8 RULES FOR OVERCOMING INTERVIEW NERVES
• RULE 1 – Remember: a job interview is just a meeting. You are meeting people to discuss your suitability for a role. Stop treating it like an interrogation or exam.

• RULE 2 – Ease the pressure on yourself. Tell yourself: “I don’t expect to get this job. I’m going to use the interview as a learning experience.” Think about your driving test. If you failed, you could take it again. An interview is the same – there will always be another opportunity.

• RULE 3 – Admit you’re nervous. If they ask how you are, say: “I’m great, thank you. Even though I’m a bit nervous, I’m excited about the possibility of working for your company.” This immediately takes away the pressure of trying to hide your nerves.

• RULE 4 – Arrive early. Rushing increases anxiety. Give yourself plenty of time to arrive, settle down and mentally prepare.

• RULE 5 – Practise your introduction using SEAT. Prepare your Skills, Experience, Achievements and Type of person you are. Knowing exactly how you will answer “Tell me about yourself” gives you a confident start.

• RULE 6 – Slow down and use the pause. Nervous candidates often speak too quickly. Pause before answering. A short pause demonstrates confidence and gives you valuable thinking time.

• RULE 7 – Remember PPE if your mind goes blank. PAUSE before answering. PICK one thing you want to say. EXPAND on that point. Don’t panic trying to think of the perfect answer.

• RULE 8 – Have an emergency statement ready. If your nerves genuinely get the better of you, say:

“I do apologise; my nerves are getting the better of me, but I do want to say this. If you hire me, I will be a positive role model for the company, take on board feedback, work hard, support my team, and make sure you get a great return from the salary you pay me.”

Remember: you don’t need to eliminate your nerves. You just need to control them well enough to show the interviewer the value you can bring to their organisation.

SECTION 1 – WHY YOU GET NERVOUS BEFORE JOB INTERVIEWS. 01:24
• It’s a relatively new experience
• You don’t undertake interviews often.
• If you did them every day, they would be a breeze.
• Go easy on yourself.
• They expect you to be nervous.

7 BEST ANSWERS TO COMMON BUT TOUGH INTERVIEW QUESTIONS. How To Answer ” Tell Me About Yourself ” in an Interview https://youtu.be/W2_08tLMmyI?si=I9tnwz2iDeb5g2a7 #jobinterview #interviewanswers #interviewpreparation #interviewquestions
*** 7 INTERVIEW ANSWERS THAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT! ***
Q1. TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF. 00:42
You must give a value-focused introduction. An introduction that outlines your skills, experience and what you can bring to the role.
Practice your answer because this will be the first time they hear you communicate.

2. WHY DO YOU WANT THIS JOB? 02:08
To give a standout answer, you must focus on 3 things – the role, their company and your career aspirations.

3. WHAT ARE YOUR GREATEST STRENGTHS? 03:29
The key to answering this difficult question is to choose 3 strengths that are guaranteed to add value to the employer – the strengths you give must be unique. You must also explain briefly how each strength will add value in the role.

4. WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST WEAKNESS? 04:57
The most important thing when answering this question is to make sure you actually give a genuine weakness – do not say you don’t have any or that your weakness is that you are a perfectionist. This question is being asked to assess self-awareness and your desire to improve.

5. TELL ME ABOUT A TIME YOU DEALT WITH A DIFFICULT SITUATION AT WORK. 06:32
This is called a behavioural interview question that assesses previous work performance. You must use the STAR method to structure your answer: Situation, Task, Action and Result. Briefly explain the situation you were in. Outline the task that needed doing, give in-depth details of the action you took, before finishing your answer with the result.

6. WHY SHOULD WE HIRE YOU? 08:35
The easiest way to answer this next tough question is to use my FIRE acronym. You can remember this acronym because you are going to be on FIRE in the role. F stands for FIT – You are a great fit for the role. I stands for IMMEDIATE IMPACT. R stands for RESULT-DRIVEN. And E stands for EXCEED EXPECTATIONS.

7. DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FOR US? 10:08
