This question is very important because the interviewer is assessing your communication skills and suitability for the job role. If you give a weak answer, the interviewer may cut the interview short.

When answering TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF, keep your response to no longer than 60 seconds and talk about the following 4 things:

1. The SKILLS you have that match the job description.
2. The EXPERIENCE you can bring to the role.
3. Details of ACHIEVEMENTS you have attained in life so far.
4. The TYPE of person you are and what you will do in the role.

Those 4 things stand for seat – SEAT, and you can remember my brilliant SEAT structure for tell me about yourself because you will be sitting down on a SEAT at your interview.

MOST IMPORTANT INTERVIEW QUESTION 2 – Why do you want this job? 03:25
This next question is very important because most people apply for a job because they just want a paycheck – if hired, these types of candidates don’t stay in the job role very long. The hiring manager wants to avoid these people at all costs because it takes a lot of time, effort and energy to hire someone suitable for a job role.

In your answer, show passion and enthusiasm for the role and a commitment to stay working at the company long term.

MOST IMPORTANT INTERVIEW QUESTION 3 – Why should we hire you? 07:03
This question is very important because the hiring manager is going to use your answer and the answers of the other candidates to decide which one can add the most value in the role. I recommend you give 3 reasons why they should hire you. Make sure you practice your answer to demonstrate confidence and belief in your abilities.
