New India-Sri Lanka ferry service | Inside South Asia

A new ferry link between Nagapattinam in India’s Tamil Nadu state and Kankesanthurai in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, promises to enhance people-to-people ties between the two countries. The 60 nautical mile (111 kilometre) journey will take 3 to four hours. The ferry will ply three days a week for now.
