Tong Li Ya is a actress. Born in Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang, Tong’s father is Xibe, from Xin Jiang, while her mother is Han, from Gansu. .She majored in dance at the Xinjiang Arts Institute, and due to her excellent results, was able to gain a placement at the Xinjiang Singing & Dancing Troupe. She subsequently obtained a qualification to teach dance at Xinjiang Arts Institute in 2000. In 2004, she enrolled in Central Academy of Drama, majoring in performance.

Tong made her acting debut in the 2008 Hong Kong television series “C’est la Vie, Mon Chéri” and then rose to fame in the 2009 drama “The Queens.” She has won numerous Best Actress awards throughout her career. Some of her recent credits include the popular television dramas “Weaning” (2013), “Ordinary World” (2015) and “Nirvana in Fire 2” (2017-2018).

Tong’s father is composer Tong Ji Sheng. Tong Li Ya married actor Chen Si Cheng in 2014 after meeting on the set of “Beijing Love Story” (2012). Their son Chen Duo Duo was born on January 30th 2016.
