Iran’s supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, said in a written statement that the war with the United States had shown that American military bases in the Middle East are no longer safe, while the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps said it would respond forcefully to any U.S. strikes. 
Iran accused the United States of breaching their ceasefire and warned it was ready to retaliate after overnight US strikes targeting Iranian missile sites and mine-laying boats threatened a deal to end the war. Footage released by the Taiwanese Coast Guard shows a Chinese coast guard vessel sailing near the disputed islands in the northern part of the South China Sea. The Taiwanese Coast Guard reports that a two day “standoff” ensued with the Chinese vessel. “The two sides engaged in a heated verbal confrontation over sovereignty via radio at sea” after the Taiwanese vessel, the Taichung, attempted to expel the Chinese coast guard vessel, the CCG 3501, Taiwanese authorities said in a statement.
