On today’s Lowdown we debate every single Premier League club’s best player this season – it’s a big one! With Liverpool now favourites for the title under Arne Slot, who has been more important for them, Salah or Van Dijk? And after holding them 3-3, which Newcastle players are worthy of a mention in a difficult campaign? Over at Arsenal, does anyone challenge Bukayo Saka as Arsenal’s talisman this season?

With Chelsea now second under Enzo Maresca, who has been the key to them becoming a Champions League shoo-in once again? Palmer, Caicedo and Nicolas Jackson all have a very good shout… and with Ruben Amorim already expressing doubts over this Man United team, which player is he going to rely on the most to see his vision through at Old Trafford?

We also take a look at the Man City players shining through their recent crisis, the unexpected success stories at Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Brentford, the player who has shone the most in Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs attack, and much much more.
