At least 359 people have died in devastating floods along the Nepal-Tibet border, with rescue and relief operations continuing after the disaster struck the Himalayan region. The U.S. State Department says 90 Americans remain missing, while three Americans have been confirmed rescued and no American deaths have been reported.

Meanwhile, Israeli strikes in Gaza have killed three people, according to the territory’s civil defense agency, as Israel says it targeted Hamas militants.

In the Middle East, Qatar’s prime minister is visiting Tehran in an effort to revive diplomacy amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran. Tehran has condemned Washington’s latest sanctions as an “all-out economic war.”

In Germany, two people have been killed in a violent incident at a school in Brandenburg, with a male suspect detained.

Meanwhile, several major UK airports, including Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands, have been hit by a cyberattack reportedly affecting data belonging to around 8.7 million customers.

And in sports, the Indian women’s hockey team defeated Germany 3-1 to finish fifth at the World Cup, securing India’s best finish since the inaugural tournament in 1974.
